Sitting at the gazebo
An intriguing book in my hand
but I wasn't reading
my eyes were fixed on you
and yours on mine
we know
we're destined to be together

and danced with me
under the glittering stars
on the moist field
You whispered
that I am the most beautiful creature
you ever beheld
that night
felt like a millennium

You cradled me in your warm arms
you sniffled my hair and clutched my hands
you held me like I'm a delicate infant
cause you know I love being smothered by your affection
Do you remember
that you told me that you'd never let me go
even if the world thinks we're lunatic

I love you always
I thought you felt the same for me
but I didn't expect
when insignificant people call us
freaks of nature
defilers of purity
and offenders of righteous
it's more than enough
to drive you away from me
I should've known
you're nothing but a prideful coward

I always thought our love can conquer any storms and waves
apparently I'm the fool that's left with a broken heart

Years crept by
like a silent thief
and like a slient thief
you stole away my joy and my youth quietly

But fate prevails
I found you by chance
I thought we could have another chance
silly me

You broke the ice between us
by inviting me to your wedding
You showed me your lovely bride to be
as if you are destined to be her prince
All I know
is that she doesn't deserve you
and you know it better than me

You didn't ask me to be your best man
cause you knew that I won't be

I walked in the ceremony
Scents of perfume and champagne lingered in the room
they surrounded me, they besetted me
as if they wanted to suffocate me
but I went
because I never stopped loving you

You stood at the altar
in your flawless white suit
an angel in disguise
You deceived everyone in the room
but not me, never
you didn't even want to look at her
when you were exchanging rings with her
nobody knows
but I can see it through your soul
you wished it was me
don't you?

Love is blind
but it is never wrong
