(A Poem In Which Can Be Found
A Series Of Words, Some Of Which Rhyme,
Some Of Which Don't)
I may not have that much to give,
and what I've got's no good,
but for you I'd give up everything,
just know that if I could
I'd buy you every single flower,
I know this sounds absurd,
but all I've got is this old poem
and all it's got is words.
But if, by chance, these words mean more
to you than fancy things,
you've no idea the happiness
to me you smiling brings.
Perhaps now you can understand,
perhaps now you can see,
that what this poem's meant to say
is you're everything to me.
