An Angel On The Horizon

Poetry By: November
Romance

If you've ever really missed someone in your life you'll probably understand what this is better than anyone else.
To be read slowly.

An Angel On The Horizon

An angel grew her wings today.
And flew right out my door.

A boy grew weak, and cold today.
Never felt this way before.

Alone I'll be, and alone I'll cry.
Staring out at the ocean. Where sea meets the sky.

No final smile. No simple kiss. And
I don't think I'll ever be over this.

Fast forward one year, and what will you find?
The boy is still there, still fallen behind.

If he closes his eyes, she's all he'll see.
He gave her his heart, but she lost her key.

Still he waits for her. Through sun. Through rain.
He knows deep down they'll meet again.

One year is a decade, a decade for him.
And it's sad to say, but his future looks grim.

See, his world revolves for no reason but her,
and her memory is faded, dark, and a blur.

It's been far too long. And it's been a fair while.
Since he remembered what is was to smile.

All he's got left is hope, never got his goodbye.
Hope that they'll meet, where sea meets the sky.
