Whispers Like Kisses

Poetry By: November

A poem about the greatest moment in my * life so far.

* you might want to read that as 'sad, sorry life.'

Whispers Like Kisses

With her lips pressed up against my cheek,
she whispered in my ear,
something just as beautiful
as her voice that sounds so clear.

She told me I was perfect,
the man of all her dreams.
'I know you'd never feel the same,
but I love you' so it seems.

How ironic those words proved to be,
I was about to say the same.
Only my words didn't kiss her ear
as 'Coward' is my name.

But for just a couple seconds,
I felt alive, not just a joke.
Then the only thing that could go wrong
went wrong and I woke up.
