Let Me In...

Poetry By: Olola

This is just a response to Wandiola's 'Behind the wall of tears'. I read her poem, which was excellent by the way (CHECK IT OUT), and thought that it would be good to write a response to it from the opposite side of the story. It really is hard when you love someone but they just won't let you in...

You're standing in front of me

Behind your wall of tears.

"I love you,"

But you push me away

And I won't go.

As you try to hide your pain

I can see right through

To your warm heart

You try to make cold.

But I won't give up.

"Let me in,"

I don't care how long it takes

Whether years,

Months, weeks

Or days,

I can wait.

'Cause I promise

To promise to heal

To hold

To love

And we, together

Can break down this wall

No more divisions,

No more tears

Just take my open hand

And open your heart

And let me in.
