I have a light,
It burns white,
Why is my life,
Full of blight?
Who is right,
Who fights,
I might.
I know,
How to roll,
With the toll,
My heart like coal,
In the dark a mole,
No sight,
But passion bright.
I see it's light,
The tunnel of fright,
As the train drives by,
I feel terrors bite,
I see nothing but night,
As my chest draws tight,
I throw,
A river to flow,
Into a boat I go,
As I start to row,
The rapids of woe,
The light is low,
The river gets slow,
So then I tow,
To show,
My strength in woe,
The boat,
Up to the sand,
Of my beating band,
Called my heart and,
Soul. By the strand,
Of Land,
I am a man,
And in command,
Of everything I am.
But without you,
I am through,
I can't do,
What I want to,
You are the boat,
That kept me afloat,
You the ore that rowed,
Down the watery road,
A heavy Price to pay,
Just to hear me say,
That I have a burning passion,
In that heavy fashion,
I love you more with every breath,
If you died I would be put to death,
Don't let me go without a word,
How much of you have I deserved,
With God's great Love,
And strength from above,
I can honestly say,
I deserved every day.
