To be a good compliment
You must allow them to vent,
And have your time spent
Getting them un-bent.
Be there when your needed,
Always smile when they've succeeded,
Subtle hints must be heeded,
Help when there case needs pleaded.
When you know the good and the bad,
Forget what you haven't had,
Feel the same when disappointed or glad,
Are ready to forgive, even when mad.
When you feel with heart of hearts,
Mind and soul and inward parts,
When proudly you'd say in busy marts
“I love this one!” and you start
To forget what before had been,
Loving your now, disdaining your then.
Finding your favorite human,
Whom to which you'd return, again and again
Opposite's, in little things
Good relationships can bring
But same big priorities sing
A friendship worthy of the ring.
