The Dance.

Poetry By: poet 3

This a poem I wrote about the Dance I went to last night. It was so much fun and I met a guy there. I hope I expressed hoe much fun I had in the poem, it took me all day to write. Started at 8Am and just finished it! :D

Smiling as you ask,
"Dance with me?"
Unknowing to how that task,
Would leave you on one knee.

As you danced,
She laughed as she sang,
Watching as you pranced,
Across the floor until you sang .

Arms flying all around,
Legs weaving in and out,
Almost colliding with the ground,
As the dawn draws near, you start to shout.

As the music slows and song begins,
She finds your hands resting on her waist,
Smiling as she glided in,
Slowing until she forgets her haste.

A stranger made her week that night,
Took time to beg and plead,
Where no other prevailed, try as they might,
He wouldn't give in 'till she let him succeed.

So hand in hand,
Singing with the band,
They danced until the end.
