I Want To Be With You.

(c) 24/4/2001. By Poetlife.

I want to:-

Sit by a crackling fire

With you,

Sip red wine

Just we two.

Snuggle into each others arms

Cosy and warm,

In the winter

Chill till dawn,

When snow flakes fall.

I want to:-

Stroll among,

Golds, browns, tangerines

Carpet of

Fallen autumn leaves.

Holding your hand.

Feeling the years,

Our touch.

Growing older

With each autumn

Grateful I can still

Hold your hand.

When new life sings,

Comes into view

In all splendour

New birth.

We share another spring.

Ever young,

Are in love,

All over again.

Like colourful flowers

Perfume of our hours,

Linger long into autumns

Crisp, windy gowns

Wind swept carpets,

As we walk along,

On fallen

Golden, rust, brown leaves.

Warm, sun filled

Long summer days.

Drifting on oceans aquamarines

Long days spent at the ocean

Side and sand.

Summer evenings

Long stretching,

Into dark star filled nights,

In full moons beams

Of delight.

We touch

An slumber,

Sweet dreams

Our spring past.

Side by side

For ever

At last.

My one true love,

Come back to me.

Let us share

The last

Few years of life,

We lost in the past.

If we love each other,

It will last.
