by Revera Love
Your whisper, so quiet, drowns out my muddled thoughts.
Your touch, so soft, makes my eyes glaze.
Your lips, sublime to my virgin senses.
I feel your love in that embrace, I feel…
I open my eyes to the radio's blare.
Some country song I don't care to remember.
The yearbook gleams from overhead lights.
Wrinkled hands turn off the sound.
The silence brings me peace.
My fingertips trace the fluffy hair and blue green eyes.
That boy so long ago still fresh and new as the day I met him.
I smile letting the memory take its time.
Days may be years and years may be millennia but I won't fear.
I have something precious.
Something shared with only one other.
I will always have that kiss…
