*Things I should have told you*
My heart constantly screams the things I never had the courage to say to your face.
You're married now, and none of this will matter anymore.
But if I could rewind time I would tell you how much I loved you,
how much our midnight talks meant to me.
I'd tell you about all the pain you put me through.
How one day I was good enough, and the next day I was trash on the highway.
Through all that I still loved you,the real you.
I'd tell you, that you became the man you swore you'd never be.
I should have told you thanks for helping me through so many of lifes trials,
even though most were brought on by you.
I should have told you, you wre changing, maybe then I could have saved you and us.
I should have told you I thought you were the one, that no matter your mistakes,
and the person you became...I'll always be in love with the old you,
the you with a good heart, the you that loved me...just as much as I loved you.
