It started with a room assignment,
Turned into a heart's confinement.
This love I feel for you.
When everything is black and broken,
You know those words no other's spoken,
You fix me up good as new.
Can't believe after all these years, you,
You've ended up with me.
The things we never know, they kill us
That's why I had to find out, you see.
'Cause without you I had no purpose
'Cause apart there is nothing for us
You're all my heart's eye sees.
Infatuation, credulous
Was I, ever so envious
Of the hearts you've called home
Watching, waiting, finding out
The ways to make you mine and how
Surprised you came on your own.
Sleepless nights now spent pondering,
She couldn't love me so.
But how to explain, warmest embrace
That perfect kiss, I need her pronto.
'Cause without you I had no purpose
'Cause apart there is nothing for us
You're all my heart's eye sees.
And now how hard it is to leave.
Together, it seems our souls have weaved.
But as I lay me down to sleep,
I feel no remorse leaving this world,
No fear of facing those things untold,
'Cause I'll see you in my dreams.
