Poetry By: Shannan Browne

As a little girl, wafting away the hours ... thoughts and wishes cross your mind... cross your heart

1993: Wishes, Dreams

I know if wishes could come true,

I'd wish and wish to be with you,

Every second of every day

Throughout the year I'd hope and pray.

Each wish to be right by your side,

Matching your every single stride

Staring into your loving eyes,

Praying that you'd tell me no lies.

I'd wish for, if wishes came true,

Only heaven for me and you.

Yet, if wishes seldom come true,

Then maybe, just maybe, dreams do.
