She didn’t know, then too late
Only six month ago in May
Her wedding was a merry day
Followed by sadness and pain
Showers of emotional rain
As liquid pain flooded her brain
Leaving behind a deathly stain
Alone, she had nowhere to hide
No thick skin to protect her hide
No place to run under cover
From him, her abusive lover
She didn’t see his arrogance
During that blissful romance
Unaware of his vicious claws
She was blind to his many flaws
With many bruises black and blue
It was far too late she cried
Too late for her to make it stop
Lying beneath a funeral clock
