I was ready for it to end
But not for me to want you to stay
I warned you
When I should have warned myself
I had never felt this pain
This loss
This need
If this is love
If this numbness is love
Then I have never felt it
And never want to again
I try to block it all out
To put wall around myself
But still you come back
You face
Your smile
Your everything
Makes it hard to even breath
I will do anything
Just stay away
Don’t let me see you happy
When I still hold this flame
I told you I would not stay
But I loved you anyway
