Bloodlust: Dragostea Unui Vampir (Poem)

Poetry By: TakeMeAsIAm
Romance

This is the first installment of a series of short stories and poems that I'm calling Dragoste Vampir, which is Romanian for "Vampire Love." The stories and poems are all independent, the only thing they have in common is that they are from the point of view of a human woman, and there is a vampire with her, and some romance. Mostly it's just vampires, because vampires are amazing. Enjoy!

Bloodlust

***

Your hands smooth

Up my sides,

Up to my face,

I feel your breath in gentle tides,

You brush the hair back,

I tilt my head,

You push me backwards

Till my knees hit the bed,

And we fall back, so softly

You stroke my face,

Down to my neck,

And you take a tiny taste

Of the skin above my pulse,

Making a shiver run through me,

I feel you smile in anticipation

As yourself you let me see.

I see your long teeth,

And your red eyes

In the dark of the room,

Hidden from blue skies.

A light kiss,

Barely brushing my lips,

As your hand moves down my body

To rest on my hip,

And the other, so sensual,

Gently lifts my head

So gently, so carefully, so sweetly.

It doesn't hurt, just as you said,

As your teeth sink in, marking me,

Then puncture, taking me.

Suction, seduction;

Not much difference here

As you drink my blood,

As you drink my soul, my dear.

We lay in the dark,

In this room filled with dust,

We lay in pleasure

As you satiate your bloodlust.
