Do you hear those footsteps

So coy, but who?

Squeals and shrieks,

As if the floor boards knew

Shadowing stranger

I ponder you

Passing bliss

Or treacherous dew?

After snickers and groans

Our Love Flew

Bitter regret

All from you

The next man I love

Without a Clue

I'll keep captive

In a cage or two
