Day by day, step by step,
I’m falling but you won't catch me,
Craving attention and love,
You blank me out without a thought,
How I wish we could be how we used to be,
So in love and strong,
The way you used to look at me,
Touch me, see me,
I feel the flame is dying out,
I’m trying so hard to keep it lit,
But you don’t even notice it,
It’s hard to say but I’m giving up,
Maybe you and me aren’t meant to be,
Even now I write this in desperation,
Even though I’d hate for you to see,
I wonder just how long it will be,
Before somebody else catches me?
