We are so close yet so far away

Poetry By: Trupti Soman

I know this is crap and it sucks and I don't know why I am posting this. But anyway this is kind of romance

I cannot imagine

That we are so close, yet so far away

But as I glance at you

Across the hallway

The imagination confirmed

As I give just a smile

When I want to scream

Those words, which I have been dying to say

Those words of a girl

Who is mesmerized by a boy's brown eyes?

Whose glance never fails to make her heart flutter?

All those words that speak out only meaning

First, I thought it was just infatuation

Now I know

It is true love

It is like a spark

That flies between the two ends of the hallway

There are some words, which are also

Unspoken by you

But with simply a glance, nod or smile

I walk away, realizing unhappily

We are so close yet so far away
