Chocolate - Snow Patrol

Inches Closer

by W.A. Garcia

So hard to say
What I am suppose to say
So hard to play
The game I was suppose to play
Too much silence
And fright,
My hesitating mind;
Oh blurred heart,
Vivid in my soul,
So unseen in my fall;
False remedy
In repetition,
Its ill judgment
Leads in starvation;
So as how
Wrong consultation
As we stay
To be the only person
We used to clay
And so we suffer,
We try to survive,
We continue in trials,
Trying to be the best we can,
Doing all we can
Even thou every single inch we step on
Seems to move us farther
To where we're going;
Some people try to read your mind
Thinking they know what you meant
While others say they'll never
Read your mind,
As they put earmuffs
Beneath their eyes
A friend is hard to find,
Unless you mean it so,
Unless you're willing to go
Somebody to be
Near always by your side
To argue with you
That ends in "I love you";
Who'll be ignoring you
And then
Swallows his word
Who'll enter your world
At the time you'll never know
To occupy your heart
Successfully when
You begin to know him so
