♥
Oh trying to catch butterflies on my stomach,
Trying to chase puffles of your sweet hello,
You know I’m so sick of trying!
I want to do something,
I want to stop spinning in circles!
Coz I can’t stand crawling anymore,
I’m done soaking in the water!
I want to start floating,
I want to rise beneath these droplets,
Drowned from my tears;
Oh full of chanting mysteries,
The criminal thoughts of me…
♥
Too early to say goodnight,
Not yet ready to hold you out,
Still not speaking of forever,
But trying to hold it like
I’ll always be there;
♥
Wanting to chain you,
Chain myself,
Chain your hand into mine,
Burnt from the heater shadows,
Oh under the freezer mallows;
I’m so desperate for that voice
♥
Baby, so if you’ll turn around
And look at me again,
Whisper your smile…
And shout out love…,
We’ll bring them back as they were,
You, near my face,
Me in your arms;
Look at it in my eyes
Oh don’t you see?
♥
The mem’ries we had
Nothing but words,
Words of lying lullabies
But I believed most,
I believed most…
♥
Promises unkept,
Disappointed hearts,
Broken souls,
Melting knees,
All that we had,
All that we were,
All that fantasy
♥
Finally turned into reality,
The happiness of freedom,
The cherry toppings
Of pasta and spaghetti,
Like sugar with no taste.
Like color blindness;
Forgetting the past,
And moving on.
Moving from our mistakes,
Mistakes that stings me,
Whenever they smell honey,
Honey that isn’t sweet,
The tinted shell at the back
Of our reflecting mirror,
trapped in the past
♥
Five words:
Finally
Rise
heater
spinning
criminal
