I guess
there isn’t much of anything new I could really say to you.
Every thought you’ve put in my head has already flown out from my mouth to your ear like a river.
I’ve told you already how your eyes are like oceans I could happily drown in,
and that your love is a new vein to my soul.
And I’ve told you how much you are to me.
And made it as clear as the fullest moon in the blackest of skies that it’s true.
And if I had to choose between having every diamond in the earth, or to have the sight of your smile and to hear your laughter,
then I’d tell you a joke.
So if I’m so lucky to hold you forever and let this body age to bits,
just let me say something I’ve said one too many times
but still somehow not enough,
