I couldn't write a poem to save a life.
Words were broken up, thoughts chained..
in my heads, those words were swimming in vain.
Tried as I might till the end of night.
Still, no words came out right.
So what did I do?
I drew a picture of me and you.
Our lips almost touching together.
Strong in its glow in the center.
It radiates a shine of life
the only thing that matters.
Through a few shades of colours,
showed how our love, stemmed in a crater like magmas.
Deep seated, hot crimson swirling
our passion waiting to burst like no other.
Oh my lover, swim close but please don't burn me like lava.
When our colours were slowly fusing.
Effortlessly I drew out our longings.
Once all shadings of us simmered down.
I'd flow to you, once again like cool steam washed over.
In smoky white mist, I sealed your lips with a kiss.
And so with that, it finalized my sketch.
Our sketch artistically etced
in my mind and soul that will forever last..
