When I Was Your Man

HEYYYYY! It's me!!!!I'm back! Okay so my friend gave me a prompt and so I did this supppeeerr short one-shot. :) P.S. I don't own Bruno Mars' 'When I Was Your Man' :(

The whole class snickered in anticipation as Danny Rhad's chair tittered back and forth. They knew what was going to happen. They waited for Danny to fall off his chair when suddenly the brunette did a back flip. The chair landed with a thump as Danny jumped onto the fallen back. He turned around, facing the back of the class. Anired, the boy behind Danny, quickly removed his hands from the table as Danny jumped onto it. Anired ran out of his seat and found an empty table to sit on. Meanwhile, Danny had started to sing his song, the one that he kept singing. Some of the girls in class sighed at his melodious tune, Danny had a good voice. But only some, he just kept singing and singing and singing......

"I should have bought you flowers, and held your hand..."

Danny reached into his jacket and pulled out some flowers. He dumped them onto Julia's table, but the blonde girl was too busy giggling at her boyfriend's joke, the couple not even realising what was happening.

"Should have gave you all my hours, when I had the chance..."

He pulled his signature watch off of his wrist and put in onto Julia's table. Again the blonde was not paying attention. She was staring into her boyfriend's deep navy blue eyes.

"Take you to every party 'cause all you wanted to do was dance..."

Then, as if said boyfriend heard a soft song playing in the distance, he jumped up and bowed to Julia. She giggled and curtsied. Then she took his hand and he twirled her. He pulled her close, slowly leading her into a waltz.

"Now my baby's dancing, but she's dancing with another man..."

Danny Rhad let a single tear filled with pain and heartbreak roll down his cheek. The waltzing couple stopped dancing. They looked at Danny with pity in their eyes. Danny nodded at them.

"I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds your hand" He gave a tiny smile at the daffodil in Julia's hair and the couple's hands.

"Give you all his hours when he has the chance" Julia's boyfriend nodded.

"Take you to every party cause I remember how much you loved to dance" Danny handed his little brother's gala invitation to the couple.

"Do all the things I should have done when I was your man." With that last line, Danny Rhad ran out of the room, and the class, Chaos, knew the story.

It was simple. Julia met Danny. Danny met Julia. Julia and Danny became best-friends. Julia developed a crush on Danny. Danny broke their friendship and relationship, saying he always hated Julia. Julia met Drew. Drew met Julia. They fell in love. Then, and only then, did Danny realise that he had loved Julia. Absence makes the heart fonder, they say. And when he finally did tell his feelings, it was too late. Julia Krissandra and Drew Cheok were to be married in 9 months. And Hannah Cheok was born. It was over. That was the story told to all future members of Chaos class. Think before you act, and never take too long to think.
