Black River Falls: Part Two

Short story By: dclovesfd
Romance

It was like the sun was burning threw the darkness of the night sky. For some reason, I didn’t care that it was most likely nine at night, and my father was looking for me. The only thing I cared about was right then.
I was still frightened as I kissed Nathaniel, and answered back, at his passionate growls.
How strange, that you never really know some one until, you feel nothing for them, but passion you’re self.
I felt Nathaniel roll over, to where he was completely on top of me his body pressing into my. It kind of hurt, the amount of intensity he was feeling, showed in his movements.

Black River Falls Part Two.

My mind, did not think about the fact, I had no idea who he was, or what was going on. Something about the way he kissed me, I had never felt in my life. I had never felt, any of the feelings running threw me.

There was a growl and it was silent for a moment. I opened my eyes slowly. I was able to see him, some how, in the dark night.

My heart beat, got faster, as I saw his face.

He stared down into my eyes. His face seemed darker then before. Almost, masochistic. And, his eyes, dark, so dark. And I saw, something, I never thought about in my whole entire life.

On the top of his teeth, where his canine teeth should be were, two long, pearl white, sharp, fangs.

Two shorter ones on the bottom.

Vampire. Nathaniel Thomas, is a vampire.

That was the only thing running threw my head. Not, oh my god, he’s a vampire. Not, I have got to get out of here. Not, he’s going to kill me. Just, that he was a vampire. Something about this, did not frighten me, did not surprise me. Somehow, my mind already knew about his.

And, I did not have to think, before whispering.

" Go ahead…" And I felt two, sharp, pains on the left side of my neck. And I felt my blood being pulled the opposite direction, it was made to run in.

Then, everything went black, and for right then, I was no longer, seeing Phoebe King’s life…

" Nathaniel! Where are you?" Phoebe’s voice called from her spot near a large apple tree. Her eye brows pulled together, and she frowned.

"Ahh!" She jumped, when she heard, Nathaniel’s voice from right behind her.

She turned, breathing in air, trying to calm down.

She smiled, looking at Nathaniel. His coal black hair, brushed neatly back, with a few stray strands hanging over his, beautiful emerald eyes. He smiled, amused.

" Sorry, Ms. Coralline, just trying to brighten your day."

" I am sure you were Nathaniel, and please, call me Phoebe.." She smiled, brushing, a leaf that had fell onto her shoulder, off onto the ground.

" That color looks, dashing on you…" She said, in a hushed voice, setting a finger, on the sleeve of Nathaniel’s dark blue suit jacket. Then running a finger over one of the brass buttons, she yearned to undo.

" Thank you Ms. Coralline." He smiled. She sighed, tired of Nathaniel all calling her by her last name. She loved the way her name sounded when coming out of his lips.

" May I?" He asked, referring, to the dark, red spiral that had fallen out of place, over her silk skinned face. Hanging over one of her, neon blue eyes.

She nodded. And closed her eyes, feeling his warm hand brush over her cheek.

" Walk with me Nathaniel?" She asked, turning toward the garden fountain.

Feeling his presence behind her. She knew he was eye her, in her, long, grass green gown, with a corseted front, that lay perfectly over her bust. The sleeves ending just past her shoulders. Ruffling, with lace.

After a moment, he moved right besides her, walking, as she looked slightly up at the light blue, afternoon sky, the sun bright, and warm.

They stopped at the fountain, large, maybe 8 feet long, and wide. At least seven feet deep, with a long white brick made, pipe, sticking out of the middle, the slowly flowed water down its sides.

" Ms.Coralline! Mr. Thomas! Your late lunch till be ready in fifteen minutes!" Bethany, Phoebe’s maid, called from the back door.

" Thank you Bethany!" Phoebe called, motioning her back inside, and waited for the door to close.

Nathaniel chuckled, which made her, laugh also. Sometimes she was so, impatient. Well, pretty much always.

" When will you be, leaving for war Nathaniel?" Phoebe asked, hoping for an answer she would not get.

" Two weeks, Ms. Coralline" He sighed, and looked into the water.

Phoebe also sighed, sitting down on the flat edge of the fountain. Nathaniel followed her, sitting down.

"That’s, rather soon…" Phoebe, said, looking downward, at her hands crossed on her lap.

"I’ll be back though…"

"In, a year or two Nathaniel! And, there is never, a paper that says, you are going to return from battle." Phoebe said, alarmed at her self, she knew better then to raise her voice near a gentleman. Nathaniel blinked, and cleared his throat.

" True.."

Oh dear, thought Phoebe, that did not help anything, running threw her mind.

" Well, that’s helpful Nathaniel" She breathed, looking up at him. He frowned.

Lifting a hand. When he did this, when he brushed her hair out of her face once again. He moved the wrong way, and both of them tumbled into the fountain.

Phoebe felt her felt under the water, arms moving around, reaching for the top of the water, reaching for air. She made it to the top, seconds after Nathaniel did. Gasping for air, she flung her soaking hair out of her face. Her dressed weighing her down.

" I’m so sorry Ms. Coralline!" Nathaniel repeated over and over again. Grabbing her waist keeping her from going under.

" Nathaniel.." Phoebe gasped, for air, breathing in and out.

" Yes?"

" Call me Phoebe! For the love of god, I might never see you again!" She said, baffled, by him. He looked into her eyes, pulling her closer.

" I will come back, Phoebe…" He whispered. And she sighed, her lips pulling up at the corners.

He pulled her close enough that their noses where touching, the water dripping over Phoebes, ran down his mouth, and chin.

" I will come back…" He mumbled, before Phoebe felt his warm, wet lips, touch hers. And she closed her eyes.

" Phoebe!? Nathaniel!?" Nathaniel’s brother called from the same spot Bethany had.

They slowy back away, opening their eyes. Phoebe blushed, and Nathaniel started to help her out. She waited by the side, while he climbed out. They walked, dripping wet, up to the porch.

Phoebe’s face bright red, at the bewildered look on Nathaniel’s brother, Matthews face.

" Fell into the fountain…" Phoebe spoke, and he cleared his throat, nodding.

" I see that, you better get inside and get changed, before lunch…"

They bother nodded, and stepped inside.

Phoebe headed off for her bed room. Sighing.

Brushing her wet hair with her fingers. Still feeling his lips on hers. Oh, how she wished he could just stay, and not leave ever again!

She giggled, opening her door, and stepping inside.

End of Black River Falls Part Two.
