The day he left her and went away, she lightened a candle for his return, a new candle was born every day, a wait for his love to be earned again, she held on to the memory of his "I Love You's". As clueless as her mother, she never knew; that he shattered her dreams for another blue. She died with every candle composed, but had never let go of his prose. She said she will love him till she dies; her words were never a lie.
His conscious awakened him with the desire of her love. He regretted every move that made him fade away from her. Though, fighting against pride was a losing battle, he failed to place her next to his old dreams, so, he followed back his footsteps.
People greeted him with a frown; they knew he was the one to blame, but, madness didn't find a place in their hearts. The old neighbor, who was once the youngest of his brothers, told the lover to let her go. Refusingly heading towards his happiness, till he finds a black abyss, that was once a house; it held an old stone symbolizing her lifeless love.
Shocked with reality, that an everyday, 10 year candle could do such a harm. Out of a sudden, every candle whispered "I love you", the devastated lover went mad, calling her name in a cry. The first and the very last candle looked him in the eye, telling him what his absence did to her on every day passing by. Thus, they narrated every candles story, and finally, those beautiful candles ended her sorrow. Till her corpse ignites in the middle of her waiting candles. . .
