My name is Emily, I used to earn my living by selling flowers on the street, till a major thing changed my life; I still don't know whether it turned it into a positive or a negative way, all I know is that I didn't deserve it.. At all!

On the morning of 18th of March, he approached me with his smart smile and beautiful deceiving eyes, bought a flower and gave it to me. Even though I literally lived with flowers, I felt so in love. I believed his lies; they sounded so beautiful, and we all know that love is blind! Of course, he bought me everything, made me feel like a princess, he gained my trust and I obviously moved in with him. As years went on, he began to drift away from me; he came home late with an awful smell of whiskey, I loved him so much that I didn't mention anything to him when he woke up the next day. I always pretend that nothing happened, though the bruises on my body spoke for themselves..

One day I told him I'm going to buy some groceries, and for my surprise he started threatning me if I ever leave the house, he's going to kill me. I was shocked and I couldn't believe what happened. However, I kept my promise. All because I loved him.

The only person from the outside world I knew was his friend; the one who used to bring my drunk darling back to home. A very mannered guy, not very talkative, but sensitive and caring. He used to always ask me if I needed anything, replying with only "I only needed him, thank you for bringing him home.."

Who could've thought, that this love would begin with a single flower, and end with a huge bouquet beside my darling's grave stone. He killed him to protect me. My darling is lifeless, his friend is in jail for a lifetime, I'm left alone, holding another life between my hands...
