It was a hot summer day, I threw on a light yellow summer dress and pinned my hair up loosely so my soft curls fell around my face. My husband was in the shower getting ready. I went into my sons room to find him almost all packed for our day out. We were going to the lake for a picnic and a little family time. I was tired, a long week of balancing work, soccer schedules, dinners, and lunches, and a toddler of 3 were really getting to me. A mother of a 7&3 year old sons was a lot for any mother to handle but on top of it all my husband often was out of town for business trips. Our 3 year old was at his grandparents for the weekend so this family outing was just the three of us.

My husband came out of the room, fresh in a white button down shirt and tan shorts. He was a handsome man, with black hair and and a charming smile. I double checked the picnic basket, while my husband lifted our son over his shoulder, the two giggling and took him out to the car. I packed the car quickly and then the three of us were off to the lake. It was a long drive, we sung a few songs and played a few car games, but before long our boy was fast asleep in the backseat. I was driving, the music was low so our little man could sleep soundly in the back when I felt my husbands hand on my knee.

At first I thought nothing of it, but slowly it crept up my leg, under my summer dress. I looked over at him quickly and mouthed the work "NO" but his eyes twinkled so cutely, in a way they hadn't for so long my anger quickly turned into something else. He did nothing more then stroke my inner thy lightly and tug at my lacy white panties a little, just a bit of teasing, but it had been so long since I had been teased.

We arrived at the lake and the bumpy road to the parking lot awoke our son. The teasing was over but we still shared eye glances and smirky smiles. We all got out of the car and I began to set up the spot as my two lovely men began playing football. It was secluded overlooking the lake. It was still too early in the summer to swim so we were the only ones at the lake. We enjoyed the day kicking around the soccer ball, throwing the Frisbee, and enjoying our packed lunch. The sun was soon to set and my husband and I looked at each other knowing the day was almost over.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the shade of a tree and held me close. I rested my head on his chest and enjoyed the sound of his beating heart and the rhythm of his breathing. The view of the setting sun over the lake was beautiful and a magical moment between myself and my husband was happening. It felt like an eternity but eventually we pulled away from each other and I looked back to find our sun, he had fallen asleep on the blanket the soft rays of the fading sun upon his face.

My husband looked back and saw him sleeping as well and looked down at me that twinkel in his eye. He lifted me up and flipped me over his shoulder. I began to giggle loudly but he smacked my butt and gave me a loud "Shssssh!" He carried me off into the wooded area not far from our sleeping son and slid me back down to the ground. I giggled again, thinking he couldn't be serious, but I looked up to see not my husband, but the young ambitious, caring, and sweet, young man I had fallen in love with so long ago.

He kissed me softly at first but the passion quickly erupted. His hands explored my body as they had when it was new to him. He laid me on the soft ground, and let his hands run up my legs as they had in the car, but now they were no longer just teasing. In the view of the setting sun over a lake, with the sounds of the birds singing their finally songs for the evening, my husband and I fed a flame that had long sense become close to only embers.
