Drunk on tears she ran .Ran away ,dashed in the cold winter air .Her wings were torn apart as her wrist bleed from the sweet razor piercing her flesh . Her face was pale as her eyes grew cold . She kept walking .

I have to run away .Escape from my own maze. My end is coming and I know .I know that you’re waiting for me somewhere in the dark. Haunting me and my mortal life. Once you pushed your dark nails in my veins and I let you pierce my flesh. Remember how you asked me to rip my wings ? And I ripped my wings for you .I did everything I could ever do .

Now there’s nothing left to do .I hear heavy steps that invade and break my own silence. Fear has made me her prisoner .I can’t breathe !

I’m coming towards you love .I’m hungry .Hungry for flesh .I can feel your presence from far away .You are tired like you’ve never been .Come closer my love and rest in my arms . Be mine !

This damn maze keeps me prisoner .It’s walls are cold as death . This pain is consuming me.

Dark skies are scorched by diabolic flames .Hate is penetrated in their eyes .They rose with the sun from the underworld to crucify me .My Calvary  has begun .Help !

The desperate cry for help echoed in his ears. For a second he felt like he wanted to grab her around his waist , kiss her till she was breathless .Hold her in his strong arms ,fill her body .Let her know she could see heaven in his ebony eyes. His heaven out of Hell .

Stop it ! Don’t think .Just act .Orders are orders.

He moved foreword holding an axe .This is my beloved axe  he said as an evil grin covered his face .His eyes lit with excitement as he moved closer . He pulled his dark wavy hair back and moved on. A satisfied look lit his pale face when he saw her silhouette in the dark .

She knew that he was coming . It was that smell of musk that made her aware of his presence. He came closer. Close enough that she could see his evil eyes . He wrapped his strong arms around her tired body .His skeleton fingers brushed her hair.

It was too late to even think .He had found his way to cruelty .In front of her stood a demon incorporated in a human body .Anger grew in his eyes .

-          I am waiting for you .Why don’t you just kill me and burry the remains in an unknown grave .

He stared at her .His eyes captured her body like a prey.

-Because … I love you . He lowered his voice afraid from her reaction .

- You love me ?! She spoke those words slowly without being surprised of what she ‘d just heard.

-How pathetic ! I feel pity for you.

- People like you can’t love. People like you burn with desire but they’ll never taste love. Now let’s finish this game for both ’s sake.

-You started it first love .You started it the day when your  tortures   begun .  That day you closed yourself in this mental maze .And now…

-Now what ? You’re pleased that my life has come to an end ?You’re pleased that I can’t find my way out of here?

She burst out crying .Tears blinded her hazel eyes and wet her angel face. It had been long time since she had cried . Fear mixed with pain clouded her face and sent shivers down her spine .Pain was too much for her to handle. In that moment she could feel her heart being torn apart .Memories came back again .Haunting her just like they always did .She was shocked with fear.

-          No .I’m not pleased that  you’re going through this .But it’s not my fault .

-          I had enough of your stupid words .You really think I’ll buy this ?

-          Then I ‘ m afraid I have to kill you love.

Next morning she woke up all sweating . Gasping for more air she got up from the bed and moved towards the window . With one easy move the window swung open .The old wooden frame cracked as fresh air filled the room .

Another time she’d been there. Down inside her hermetic maze .Drowning in that total blackness .The soft morning breeze caressed her dark hair and her bare shoulders.

Downstairs her mother sat in one corner of the room holding a cup of steamy tea.

-          Good morning sweetheart ! –she said drinking her tea.

-          Morning mum!-she answered back trying to sound as normal as she could .

-          Are you ok honey ? You look like you haven’t slept at all.

-          No .It’s just that I stayed up ‘cause I had to finish reading this book.

She lied to her mother. She’d never done that before and was already feeling guilty about it . Damn ! Why couldn’t she live a life just like every 19 year old girl ? She was just hoping her mother would stop questioning her. It was too much for her to handle. Besides she wasn’t a good liar and she knew it .

Dani was waiting for her at the back of the garden . Something was wrong and she could sense that . There was something about his eyes that shook her with fear .Silence .Nothing else but silence.

-I’ve been waiting all day for you .Where have you been ?

She couldn’t lie him anymore .She just couldn’t. Dani was too important for her .That’s why she never revealed her secrets ,because she feared of loosing him. Just the feeling of being alone made her sick. She hated being alone.

Luna smiled at him .Her sweet smile send a warm feeling to his cold heart .He had longed for the smile and now it was his .

He came closer embracing her weak body .He softly touched her wrist with one pale fingertip .Feeling his cold finger in her skin she trembled ,closing her eyes as trying to send the bad memories away .Everything become gloomy . Fear was drowning her in the maze again .She was running out of strength in his arms ,fading away in pieces .

You carve my darkness like no other mortal has ever carved before . Let me love you in my own way . I need you angel .I need you now ! Before I loose that little control that’s left in me .I want to feed upon your body ,love .Pierce your   throat and taste your sweet blood .I want to feel you warm skin under mine as you scorch my blood . Damn! How I hate you ! Once i was lovesick for you .You said I was special because of my wings .In fact they never pleased your demoniac instincts .I left behind my world just for your sake .And what did I get in return ?

Nothing but a cold maze that become my inferno . Nothing but blood and tears .

-I never meant to hurt you .I know that I’m an idiot ,I’ve always been an idiot .But then I met you and I changed. You were the sweetest thing ever happened to me . So I tried to become a better man too . Guess I failed .Guess I hurt you .

-I wanted to make you bleed ,my love .You always ran away from me as if you were disgusted .I hated you for a long time ,but deep inside me i needed you .

That word sent shivers down her spine. She couldn’t believe that she had fallen for a vampire .

She raise her head to meet his eyes and get lost inside them .Daniel wasn’t perfect ,but nor was she . He was a vampire and she had her own mazes .World was a weird place to live and she knew that . At least being with the guy she loved made things easier .

This time was his turn to be surprised .

They went home .Finally after a long time .

-Oh god !What’s wrong with her ?-shouted  Dani.

Luna had fainted in his arms and he didn’t know what to do. He was scared that something bad was happening to her .He was afraid of loosing her.

He was about to ask for help when she opened her eyes. Luna found Dani staring at her like a scared little boy ,who had just seen a ghost .She smiled .It was a bit weird .but she felt way too better. In that moment everything was more   colorful even her dead garden .She was glad that Dani was holding her .Being lonely for a long time had made her forget about warm feelings . It was time for her to return in her colorful world once more, just like the old days .

-You scared me to death .What’s wrong ?

- I guess I’ve avoided you for  a long time .It’s time to start a new a life. A much more colorful  one by  your side .So tell me would you like that ?
