"Mom I'm going to go for a walk in the forest to find Bethy. I'll be back by noon." Kent ran to his closet and opened it in search of his sneakers. Digging like a dog thru piles of dirty clothes. When he found the tattered nike shoes, he slipped them on and headed for the door. Before he got to turn the knob, his mom came in the room. "Kent I thought I told you to stay out of the forest." His mom said pointing at the window,"I don't have all day to worry about you getting lost. Maybe tomorrow." Kent tweaked his head to the left to get his bronze hair out of his eyes. "Mom I've told you for like a million times, I will be fine. Why do you tease me like I'm a kid? I want some freedom. For god's sake I'm 16, let me be." He grabbed the knob and twisted it. His mom followed behind. "Mom I know you are there!" He turned around and walked closer to her. "Leave me alone!" He twirled around and jogged twoards the forest. When he reached the black oak, he turned and saw his mom go inside. 'Finally that woman leaves. Jeez. Wait till the guys hear this pile of crap. I really get P.O.'d at her!' Kent thought. As Kent wadded deep into the forest, it grew darker. He looked up to find the sun hidding. Kent turned around and headed back. All of the sudden there was a drop of rain. 'Great, so that mother of mine didn't warn me. Wait till I get home.' Kent ran as far as he could but never reached the house. Then he heard barking. 'Bethy?' Kent ran closer to the noise. Kent ran through bushes and past trees.
