I am your typical teen, average grades, bullied in school, low self-esteem, no job, no money, just started college and just not sure what to do in life.
I seemingly had nothing to live for until I met Rebecca, everything made sense when a saw her because she gave me purpose, she gave me a goal in life, love at first sight if you will.
We first met at my sisters birthday party 29th of June. There was just something about her... a spark.
She sent me a message on Facebook the following day saying that she liked me and asked me out, I was happy she felt the same.
But like everything nowadays it fails to fall through as she was too shy to go on a date, so I told her that I didn't have to be a date but then her grandmother fell ill and had to go to hospital meaning it had to be cancelled... again.
Two weeks later we did go out to the cinema but she wanted to my sister to come with because it made her feel more comfortable and things went well.
The a couple weeks later she went cinema with my sister and I was sad because I couldn't come with.
Another Two weeks later she came to my house... but only to bake cakes with my sister and hardly spoke to me.
By this point I was starting to think she had forgotten about me.
My lucky break was at my friend Shaun's party 31st August.
We had been drinking and she started to talk to me, everyone had gone outside when she out of the blue just kissed me, she then told me to go upstairs with her, where she continued kissing me and started hugging me. At this point I felt like the luckiest boy on earth I had never felt so happy in my entire life. Later on we were called down for cake and she just sat next to me holding my hand, nothing could top this day.
It eventually came to the point where she had to leave and she seemed sad that she had to go.
The next day I called her to talk about what happened... but my worst fear had come true, she couldn't remember anything. It was the worst feeling I had every experienced, for the person who I had longed to be close to and had finally gotten close to, only for it to be ripped away because she couldn't remember, I felt like everything was over and I'd never be happy again.
It was at this point I felt compelled to write this story as a way of expressing the way I felt.
So I sent her this message
"Since you can't remember last night I'll sum it up. At around halfway through the party you kissed me, and shortly after you told me to come upstairs. where you continued to kiss me and kept hugging me. you kept asking if I wanted to take it further but I kept saying no and to slow down. when we were called down for cake you sat next to me and held my hand until you left and you seemed sad that you had to go. I'm actually very upset that you can't remember because you made me feel like the happiest boy on earth and I never wanted it to end."
I haven't gotten a reply yet but hopefully this will have a happy ending
the moral is that you don't know what your missing until its there, same as you don't know what you have until its gone.
