Ryo's point of view:

Where am I? I thought to myself. I don't know the name of my whereabouts, but it is cold, and very dark. I studied my new surroundings and noticed my reflection in a glass wall. I walked up to it, yet it didn't move. I looked deep into my image's eyes and they began to change. Instead of the happy, vibrant green eyes I usually saw, I was staring into blood-thirsty, angry yellow eyes. My reflection then began to take the form of some kind of beast. I gasped and jumped back a bit. Where ever I was, I didn't like it, nor did I like its trick mirrors.

It was only when my reflection started talking to me when I realized that this wasn't a mere image. It was angry and very troubled. He wanted revenge and he wanted to kill. His rage-filled shouts were silenced by a sudden flood of fire. This new world is completely engulfed in flames, the monster is screaming in agony, and yet I feel no pain. It's much like a warm, soft blanket, holding me in its comforting embrace. It feels like I'm drifting to sleep-A sleep so wonderful and soothing that I never want to be woken from it.

Kaori's point of view:

I waited for the nurse to finish what she had to say, but, of course she took her sweet time, clearly wanting to avoid the subject. "His wound, aside from it being deep, was also infected with some kind of poison, so, it could be a while before he fully recovers." My mouth shaped an "O" at the word "poison". Completely forgetting my whereabouts, I screamed frantically. "What kind of poison, is there a cure?!" The nurse shushed and reassured me. "I want to see him." I stated plainly. The nurse led me down a long hall of rooms, leading to room #33-the room in which Akimitsu resided peacefully.

I slowly walked in. I couldn't bear the sight, he looked so sweet and vulnerable. It's amazing, isn't it? One moment I'm having the time of my life and the next I'm staring at my dear friend in a hospital bed. He had told me he loved me, he had even risked his life to save me and now the only thing I could do was watch him rest. I bent down and lightly kissed his cheek. I know I owe him a lot and I know this isn't much, but hopefully it'll help me pay off some of the debt.

His eyes fluttered open the moment my lips touched his silky skin. "Kaori-san…." That's all he could manage to say. The next thing he did was something completely unexpected. He gently placed his hand behind my head and pulled me forward, leading to the best kiss of my life.
