I was sitting in my room thinking to myself. I was changing a lot, I no longer had human blood running through my body it was angle blood. If you haven't guessed I'm a Shadowhunter, a Shadowhunter is a demon slyer and someone who kills bad people. I lived here with my boyfriend and my dog; we live in Manhattan in a very grand house that I'm pleased to call my own, it coasted me a fortune but I love it. I was also carrying my boyfriends' first child we were both very excited about it of course my parents didn't know god forbid if they ever found out I would be shot and proper screwed, so we tried to keep it low as but now it was a bit impossible my baby bump getting bigger and bigger everyday getting more harder to keep covered as well. My boyfriend is called Jace he is 18 years old the same age as me, I loved that guy so much he meant my world. He too is a Shadowhunter but rarely comes out with me on battles he's more trying to stop me from going out; his protection over me is very strong. He is a very sweet guy. I have known him for a long time now; Jace has always known me ever since Primary school and got together properly at the end of high school and we are still together today and that was two years ago. Jace to me is the most attractive male I have ever seen with his blue green eyes, natural tanned skin and blond golden hair he was perfect. Me on the other hand my name is Indiana Lthuriel Herndales, I don't really like my name so I prefer people to call me Indy, my mother always said it was a beautiful name and it was a shadowhunter name so it had to stay. I'm 5ft9 tall for most women, my hair is black mixed with a little bit of brown it's also very curly as well it's a pain in other words my skin tone is always mixed depending on the season and my eyes where blue mixed with green, I was perfect in a way but so much could be changed about me.

I looked over my shoulder to check on Jace he was awake now before he was asleep away with the fairies, possibly dreaming about me this is normal for him. I had been awake for hours; it was hard for me to get a half decent sleep.

"Morning babe, how are you?" Jace asked with a slight yawn.

"Not bad…you?" I asked.

"I'm fine had a nice sleep. How's the baby?" He asked.

"Restless if you would like to say that, I've been awake since half four."

"He/She wants out soon then." He smiled.

I smiled back at him, he was true.

"Oh yes. Come on get up lazy ass! You've slept in longer then me it's time you woke up and help me out." I smirked.

Jace nodded and looked up at me; he grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him I lay down next to him. His warm lips met mine; all my feelings went out into our kiss his did too. When we were done I hugged him and settled down.

"No one is going no were today, you need some sleep miss!" Jace whispered.

"I can't babe I've got stuff to do." I whispered back.

He looked at me and sighed. I guess I won that one. I sat back up again and looked at him.

"Come on babe up." I spoke.

I got up of the bed and padded down the stairs the marble flooring sent a shiver down my spine it was cold but welcoming on my sore feet. I put the heating on for a little bit to warm the house up. I stood in the kitchen looking out the window seeing completely nothing new, just a few cars past and a few people nothing new. Jace made his way down the stairs; I could hear his footfalls echo down the hall and bounced off the walls.

"Oh you decided to get up then?" I teased.

Jace smirked and nodded. He walked over to me and gave me a hug I always felt protected by him and felt safe.

"I love you for ever and always." He muttered into my ear.

"I love you for ever and always too." I whispered in his.

***

Time moved on my pregnancy moved on a little more to my final two weeks left, any day now, I was excited about it and so was Jace. Speaking of Jace he's been really weird with me lately. I have been spending a lot of time down at the Institute with my Shadowhunters but he was a shadowhunter as well and yet he seemed to have a problem with it. The people who lived there was my family, Jace's and a few others, I didn't visit the Institute to see my family I can't stand them and anytime I see them I want to kill them, I hate them all. I had simply erased them from my life and I didn't want anything to do with them! I got on okay with Jace's family but I adored his little sister Mia she was so cute but powerful at her age Jace didn't have much to do with his family anymore either, life moves on fair to fast and people change.

Jace stood opposite to me in the kitchen watching me like a hawk; I was looking out the window watching the world pass by.

"Indy why is the institute almost a big sudden thing in your life? It wasn't beforehand and all of a sudden you're always over there spending half your time over there. Why is it so important?" He spoke.

I looked over to him and sighed.

"Because I like to see my friends and socialise we talk about demons and stuff. You're a shadowhunter as well you know you should join us you haven't been over in ages."

"Maybe because I don't want to I have a life Indy and I don't want you going over there your parents are there as well you know if they find out it will be who gets it not you."

"But Jace that's not the point, no one hasn't suspected anything I'm fine. It will be who gets it not you, because I'm carrying your child."

"Indy just no!! You go back there I leave and won't bother coming back! Until I decide! Do I make myself clear?" He almost shouted this.

"Yes Jace!" I muttered.

I hated being put into this kind of situation. I had to go to the institute to revise my new weapons but he doesn't see that.

"Indy tell me the truth why you go there? Are you secretly bunking off with other lads?" He asked.

Now he was driving me mad.

"NO Jace!!! You're the only one I love! And I've already told you. Jace I don't this right now! Just back of you can even ask one of your sisters what I do there!" I snapped.

"Yeah right, I don't believe that. Yeah I will don't worry." He snapped back.

I leaned heavily against the side pain stared everywhere in body it was screaming at me to stop the argument. Jace saw this.

"Jace no more! It's making me stress out, please no more. Ask your sister or someone there." I muttered.

I carried on leaning against the side, he walked over to me.

"Indy are you okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay?"

Jace shook his head and hugged me.

"I'm sorry, go and lie down for a little while."

I just nodded and let go of him, I plodded into the living room and lay down. Jace came and sat down at the end of the sofa with me.

I closed my eyes and wish the pain would ease off. Sometimes I wish Jace wasn't with me sometime he made it worse and he knew I wasn't putting this on. I was stressed and I wasn't feeling great either.

***

I slept for two hours. Jace woke me up.

"Indy, you need to wake up or else you're not going to sleep tonight." He spoke softly.

Luckily the pain had edged off slightly. I sighed then woke up. I was okay for now, I sat up and yawned.

"You sorted yourself out yet?" I asked.

"Yes and I don't mean to stress you out either." Jace muttered.

"Don't worry about it." I sighed.

I got up and made myself a drink a drink of water I needed it. After a lot of rest the pain went away but gave me a consent reminder it was there every now and then, I decided to go to bed I didn't care what Jace said to me, I wasn't putting up another argument and disappeared into the comforts of my warm bed.

***

A few hours later I was woken up by Jace; I moaned and told him to go away. He did so. When he disappeared someone else walked into the room, I didn't know who it was but I just snuggled in deeper.

"Indiana Lthuriel Herndales. Wake up." A deep voice echoed down my ear.

"Go away!!!" I snapped.

"Indiana get up now!" She snapped.

Then I recognised the voice. It was my mother…

"Mother do me a favour there is the door use it!" I snapped.

"Indiana, DO NOT talk to me like that, get out of bed now." She shot.

I just signed and got up.

I tried to keep my baby bump hidden from her but she watched me like a hawk. I picked up my dressing gown and put it on before shouldering past my mother to the protection of Jace. I stood against him. My mother close on my heels I wouldn't look at her. Jace muttered something into my ears but I didn't hear it.

"Mom what do you want?" I asked.

"I just came to make sure you two are okay…" She started. I froze. Jace froze. I just hoped she wouldn't find out for about to say what I thought she was going to say.

"Are you hiding something from me Indiana?" She asked darkly.

I shook my head "No ma'am I'm not." I muttered.

Jace put his arm around me and held me close.

"Indiana yes you are! Don't lie to me young lady! I am your mother you know. I still have the power to tell you off!" She snapped.

"Mother go away! Jace and I have done nothing wrong, please GO! I've just put on a little weight that's all." I snapped.

Jace gave me a gentle squeeze to calm down a tad but I ignored it.

"That's not true Indiana. I can feel fourth presents around the three of us you know I can!! So don't try that, it's either you tell the truth or I will put the Shadowhunter Lie Detector Sword on you to find out if you're lying!" She warned.

I just sighed and kept my temper from flaring.

"Mrs Herndales I think its best you leave, I don't want girlfriend in distress she's been in a lot of pain lately and suffering very bad depression I think you should leave." Jace spoke.

"Slywolf don't give me that excuse. I know what exactly what's going on"-

I cut her off.

"Mother you don't GO NOW BEFORE I KILL YOU!" I screamed.

My stress levels rose higher and higher.

When my screams where heard my father ran in, my brother and sister. Oh great one! The pain started again, this was not nice.

"Alyssa I suggest you go!" Jace said darkly.

My mother walked up to me and grabbed me by the arm.

"You are coming back to the Institute with me to have SLD Sword on you; I'm not having this Indiana! You are still my daughter and I still have legal rights over you." She shot.

Jace kept hold of me tightly.

I lashed out at my mother. After that I collapsed to the ground gasping for air, I couldn't breathe, it was like the wind was taken right out of me, it was horrid!

"What the hell have you done to her Alyssa?" Jace spoke infuriated

"Nothing she punched me then collapsed." She muttered.

I was struggling along. Jace knelt down next to me and stroked my face.

"Indy it's okay, I'm going to call the paramedics to take you to the hospital it's the baby you've been stressed out too much and going to have a premature birth, I will be right by your side babe." He whispered.

It was only a whisper I could hear no one else could hear it only me. I was terrified. My brother and sister where hysterical and my father took my mother away as well as my siblings. All I heard was what my mother said was. "Just a drama queen, always puts it on for attention. I knew she was pregnant all a long!"

I just lay there struggling on, until the medics got here. I was so damn petrified…I was sitting in my room thinking to myself.
