You push yourself up from the couch, a feat that is getting more and more difficult every day, though you don't like to admit it. The baby doesn't seem to like your movement, and gives you a nice punch in the bladder.

"Ah," you say, putting a hand to your stomach. She kicks again, so strong it's almost painful. "God, come on, baby," you mutter.

"Who are you talking to?"

You look up to see Ace peeking his head into the room, eyes narrowed with suspicion. He sees the hand on your stomach, and his face lights up. "I knew it! She's kicking, isn't she? I want to feel."

Before you can say a word Ace is down on his knees in front of you, both his hands on either side of your round belly. He rubs the sides gently with his thumbs, waiting for something. Of course, as soon as someone wants to feel her move, she stops.

You sigh. "She was doing it a second ago," you say.

Ace puts his ear to your stomach, where your belly button is beginning to poke out, much to your displeasure. "Do you ever actually hear anything when you do that?" you say, putting your hands on your hips.

"Of course," he says. He moves his hands to the front of your stomach and waits. He pouts. "Nothing."

You feel a wiggle again. "Wait," you say. You take his left hand and slide it down to the side of your stomach. You push firmly on his hand.

"I feel it!" Ace says excitedly. Since the first time he felt your baby move, his excitement hasn't ceased a bit. You smile to yourself. You take your hand off of his and run it through his hair as he continues to feel your daughter move within you.

"I think she's fallen asleep," he says after a few minutes, when you stop feeling the movement. Ace takes his hands from your stomach and wraps his arms around your waist. He leans his head against your football of a belly, and you continue to run your hands through his hair.

"Love you, Kristen," he murmurs, his eyes closed. "And you, baby," he adds, moving his head to kiss your belly. You roll your eyes and smile again.

You definitely married the sweetest man in the world.
