The Perks of Being
There were many perks to being Violet Berry. Dad decided to make his girlfriend, Laura, his wife, it was just undecided when. Jess convinced me to try cheerleading and there was almost no way we wouldn't make it. Laura might be pregnant. I had the perfect boyfriend, and amazing best friends. Homecoming was just around the corner. Everything was just perfect.
Then Alex comes. A mysterious, tough, bad-boy; who was surprisingly so tempting. But I knew I couldn't, so instead, I waited. Thinking realistically, which wasn't exactly my forte, my seemingly perfect relationship with Elijah can't last forever. So there was always time for Alex.
Then there's Brendon, my best friend for seven years, who I also happened to have a massive crush on. The irony to it is that he's also dating my 'enemy' which seems to be mandatory in high-school. There's the bully and her target; of course I might as well have painted a big red bulls-eye on my shirt because I was the only person Aimee victimized.
With every perk comes a down fall. Like who should I go to homecoming with? And what the hell am I going to do if I have a little brother/sister? And why would Aimee date Brendon, because last year she hated all of us. And what was I supposed to do about my hormones pulling me every which way? It may not seem like much, but when it all falls on your shoulders within a month, it's pretty stress-worthy.
