I am 45 yrs old; I was raised on a farm in a small town where the streets closed at 11pm; everyone knew everyone and were friendly. My mom was a beautican and dad worked on the state highway. I learned that I love writing stories when I was in the 6th grade. I later learned that I could also write poems. It was while I was expecting my daughter that I really started writing. She was the one who influence me to show off my writings. I wrote a couple of poems for family members that had passed away. I have had two poems to win prizes from the poetry contest. I have managed to get one book published and I am learning to promote it now. I work as a cashier part time and live with my daughter who is my best friend and crictic. We live in a place where there isn't anyone to help with promoting books or poems. I love my country life. Crawford County will always be home no matter where I live.
