"If you think you can't, you won't.

If you think you can, you might."

                         Twain (Mark, not Shania)

My name is Ted, I am married to a wonderful woman and have three great daughters. I love and live in the USA. I am a career firefighter, by calling, and an electrician, by trade. I have always had a wild imagination and my head is always going, you know like the TV is running through the channels and I don't have the remote. Well, I decided to start to put some of it down on paper. I'm starting a novel, a mystery-thiller, and this  summer I will be assisting my father with writing his memoir. My hope is that people enjoy my work, because I know I enjoy doing it. My hobbies include writing (duh), research and geneaology.

Some of my favorite authors are, and in no particular order, with the exception of the Mary Roach, who I like the most. I read all of her books and some of her articles.  The rest would be; William Martin (read all of his), Steve Berry (read all of his), Dan Brown (read all of his), Stuart Woods (Staring too read all of his) and James Patterson (one, book going to read more). I enjoy fiction and non-fiction alike. I like to laugh, so I enjoy any humorous articles or stories. The last fiction that I have read was The Art of Racing in the Rain, it was funny and sad. The last non-fiction was Six Frigates, very interesting and well written.

My music? I am definitely a rocker. Hard rock, Classic rock, Blues. I also like Country, some old stuff (especially Johny Cash), but mostly new mainstream country; Toby, Trace, Van Zant, Big and Rich, Shania, Gretchen, Miranda, just to name a few. I like the classics; late sixties and early seventies band like Zepplin, The Who, Aerosmith, Skynyrd, Springsteen, Doors, Eagles, Floyd and too many more to mention; and for newer bands, Nickleback, Saliva, POD, Three Downs Down, Three Days Grace, Daughtry, Creed, Stone Sour, a few others. For blues; Robert Cray, Stevie Ray, B. B.

     And who doesn't lke Sinatra?

Comediens; Dane Cook, Robert Shimmel, Ron White, Bill Engvall, and any that make me laugh, (I know, I know) that's their job, but some I just don't think are funny.

And as far as sports go, and my likes, well, besides NASCAR (Hendrick's teams 48-24-88-5), I am an extremely lucky man. I enjoy the distinct pleasure of having as my hometown teams...drum roll please... the (5 time) Stanley Cup winning Boston Bruins and (3 time) Super Bowl winning New England Patriots and the current (7 time) World Series Champion Boston Red Sox and the curent (17 time) NBA Champions, Boston Celtics. Is there a better sports city anywhere? No!

Thanks for reading and keep writing.

Ted
