We're all busy so I'm going to be providing a bunch of micro-reviews of books I've read over the last year. If you like the micro-reviews I'll keep them coming. They'll be short - 200 words or less.

NextbyMichaelCrichtonMichael Crichton has written some great books - Jurassic Park, Sphere, The Andromeda Strain - but this isn't one of them. It's a loosely told story of a future in which genetic manipulation becomes both possible and increasingly common. But the book lacks a coherent story and I found myself getting bored. Instead, it's a series of snapshots and somewhat unrelated stories and never seem to come together.

There must be some great genetic manipulation stories out there, but this isn't one of them.

altalt out of 5.
