This is an scene from a book my best friend and I are writing together. The book is about a group of young adults that travel to other dimensions through an elevator, most importantly to their greatest desires, even if they themselves do know what that is. In this scene Jax the main protagonist is with his dad the day that he dies at war in Afghanistan. Still a work in progress, so any constructive criticism is welcome please.

This is a book my best friend and I are begining to write. The storyline is about a group of young adults in New York that happen come across an elevator that can travel into multiple dimensions and more importantly take them to their hearts greatest desire, depending who pushes the button. In this particular scene our main female protagonist is standing in front of the elevator for the first time and has a supernatural experience. This is the revised version of my earlier submission. Please feel free to leave any, gentle :), constructive criticism. Thanks.

This is part of a story my best friend and I are writing. We've never written anything before but we both enjoy it very much. I feel like I can't trust anyone's feedback that knows me because they have to be nice to me. Lol. I am really open to some, gentle, constructive criticism since this is a work in progress. Anything helps. My co-author is a genius and I am very intimidated. Thank you.

After a scientific governmental experiment goes successfully well, a portal to a parallel universe is opened in the center of the Bermuda Triangle. As the beings on the other side (known as Sentra) began to enter into our world, they are all murdered and slaughtered like cattle. All except for some who are believed to still be alive to this day. On that same day, an agent who believes humans have made the wrong decision, decides to go rogue against his agency (known as the O.R.A.) by secretly rescuing a drowning child, who is a Sentra, and raising him as one of his own. 13 years later, at the age of 16, he begins to learn about what really happened on that fateful day. He plans to close up the portal to prevent the O.R.A from killing anymore of his race but must first search for and rescue the last known survivors and take them back with him. COMING IN 2013

I expect it to be somewhere between 30 to 50 chapters long.

Birth-Day is a short prose, you could say, with a dystopian and an apocalyptic feeling to it. The idea just popped into my head one day while I was staring at a spot on my chest (above my heart) whose color was totally different from my skin. Since it was above my heart, the idea just came to me, \"What if someone used something similar to control people?\" and that was what led to me writing this.
