::Azucena::
I crawled to the shore and lay moaning on the sand as the last vestiges of sea-life drifted away.
In the wilderness, I searched for sustenance and shelter, but I was chased away with tooth and claw. During the day, the forest bristled with life. At night, it was a dark and somber thing. Marginalized to the edge of the forest, I nibbled on berries and mushrooms. Cool streams quenched my thirst.
As the seasons passed, I explored and marked my territory. Nothing disturbed my peace and quiet, except for the insistent song that kept calling from a distance.
