Prolog:
Daniel
Daniel had just walked all night and had gotten nowhere. All he was able to see was road and trees. He was tired and it showed in his withered blue eyes. Once, not too long ago his eyes sparkled with hope and life. Now they just looked for food and the next town. His clothes had long since turned ragged and torn. His red flannel now faded to a dull rusty color. He also needed a shave and a haircut; being on the road for months left little time for personal grooming. This lift his hair in long tangled greasy strands of black hair mixed with grey; to fall to the middle of his back. His beard looking much the same fell to almost the same length. He just looked ahead and kept walking in hopes of finding a town. He was hungry; he was tired. All he wanted was a bath, a shave, a good meal, and conversation to go with it.
