This chapter is just the introduction. Characters, setting, and other such things. I will be adding as I write, so be sure to check in once in a while. ~ Characters: Sarah- The independent 'emo' kid. She doesn't have many friends and she stays alone most of the time. She looks like your typical emo lesbian: short dark hair, loose dark clothes, grey-blue eyes. She hates her life, but she'll do whatever it takes to stay alive. Simon- The brainy 'loner'. He stays mostly to himself, and is one of the smartest kids in his school. He has short dark hair, big green eyes, and a calm demeanor. He stays calm and steady through everything. Beatrice- The religious child. She was raised in a very religious home. She's modest and kind because that's how christians are 'supposed' to be. She believes everything that happens is god's will. She has long brown hair, doesn't wear makeup, and wears blouses and jeans or long skirts. Peter- The youngest of the four, and the youngest child in a family with four kids. He's tough and doesn't get offended easily because of being the youngest in the family. He's punk, with black hair, eyeliner, and dark clothing. ~ Other characters: Tara- Sarah's ex-girlfriend Chris- Peter's ex-boyfriend Mary Alice- Beatrice's best, and only, friend Lana- Simon's cousin, and caretaker Carry- Simon's 17-year-old sister Logan- Simon's 16-year-old brother Maria Ann- Simon's 15-year-old sister Maricarmen- Simon's ex-girlfriend ~ Setting: Sarah- Los Angeles, California Simon- London, England Beatrice- Calgary, Alberta Peter- Los Angeles, California Time: 2036 ~ Inspiration: Greg Egan's "Quarantine" 'It all started the night the stars went out'
