“I’m not going back with you, I told you.” I spat, easing back. I heard him chuckle softly and that confused me for a moment until he suddenly vanished. It was for only a brief second but when I caught sight of him again, he was right in front of me, bent low so that his eye level was at my waist.

“You chose this for yourself” He whispered just loud enough so that I could hear it.  That was when I felt it though. I gasped loudly when it hit me. A powerful force that threw me backwards, I could have sworn he punched me in the stomach, and the dizziness proved it. I staggered backwards but only to let myself fall. The pain was horrible and as my back collided with the ground, I felt the need to try one more time just one more time to catch him off guard. I could see the action in my head, and in a second I pushed my hands against the ground, twisting my legs in the air only to have him catch both of my feet and pin them to the ground. “I give up...” I winced letting my back fall back to the ground, my hands laying tiredly by my head. Then I blacked out.

When I woke up I was in the same classroom leaning against the wall, Rasheem sitting quietly beside of me. “Where…?” I muttered lifting my head “Oh no…” I looked back down, Rasheem noticing me “Oh, Rem your awake.”

“I’m not joining.” I interrupted.

“Rem…” His voice was concerned “Rem…look I didn’t mean for you to see my hand…but we can’t let outsiders run free like that…that’s how some of us got into the gang.” I shook my head “How can anyone even have a hand like that.” I took notice that the room was empty “I’ll have to explain that to you later…but now we have to get things settled…I’m guessing you’ve already met…Alkerrai?” I paused “Who was that?” I lifted my head. He smirked “The one who captured you…by the way…does your stomach hurt?”

“What?”

“Well didn’t he hit you in the stomach to knock you out of something?”

I flushed instantly lowering my head “Y-yeah, its hurts a little.” He glared at me suspiciously

“I mean I could have sworn he would have tried something else, he never uses force…I mean, just guessing.”

I looked away “Stop it.”

“I knew it.”

“W-what?”

“You know.”

“He hit me that’s all ok!?”

“That’s an amazing choice for a first kiss ya know?”

I froze, overjoyed that he couldn’t see how red my face was.

“Yep, a girl would die for a kiss like that…oh sigh…maybe he thinks your special…I wanted your first kiss.”

I growled “Pervert.”

He chuckled “I love embarrassing you.”

I hissed back at him “What’s so good about him anyway!?”

I said irritably. Rasheem grinned “There’s a lot…but I would have to say the most important…is the fact…that Alkerrai, is first in command.”
