Prequel to Child 10139: Arisnoe

By: Lisbon

Chapter 1, A slave to to the cruel, unforgiving world of science, Arisnoe finds comfort in a young man, Tyler, after running away from her government facility home. But what happens when the authorities wont stop at anything to get her back?

A terrified girl sprinted, panting, through an alleyway. Nervously glancing around her surroundings, she climbed up a fire escape on the side of a building.

"There she is!" A hoarse shout rang out through the silent city. "10139 is on the roof of that building!" The girl screamed when the man said this and jumped into the first open window she found. Then she gasped.

Before her was a boy. Tall, slender, and cute.

    And he was naked.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" he shouted.

"Shh! they're after me...help me!!" She cried, her beautiful, inhuman yellow-gold eyes flashing panic. Then, she collapsed, leaving the boy scratching his head in wonder at why this stunning, if strange girl had just jumped through his window. He picked her frail form up and put her somewhere no one could find her; a secret place behind the wall of his apartment.

Five minuites later they arrived. There were fifteen of them, all in S.W.A.T. gear. They barged in, kicking down the door.

    "Where is 10139?" One asked.

"Who?" The boy stared, confused. This was really not his day.

"10139, a dangerous mutant female. She escaped from her cell at C.A.V.112 headquarters."

"Man, I have no idea what you are talking about."

The S.W.A.T. man turned to his comrades. "Search the place." He gruffly snapped.

The men set about looking in every room, closet, nook, and cranny. They checked every possible place a girl could be hiding, and found nothing. The lead one apologised for the intrusion, and they left to check other rooms. As soon as he was sure they were gone from the building, he went to get the girl.

He popped open the door to the hiding spot and there she lay, docile, harmless and childlike, just coming conscious. He knelt beside her and looked at her.

"Who are you?" He finally asked.

    "Child 10139."

"No, I mean what is your name?"

"Oh..." she said in her now quiet, shy voice. "I keep hearing a name in my dreams coming from a voice...Arisnoe."
