It was 1200. The sun was very high in the sky. The heat from the sunlight seemed not to be negated by the wind blowing in the air. Wondering how much people they need to fight, their morale started to dwindle. The grips on their weapons were getting weaker. But a purple colored laser blast fired from above forced them to dodge it by jumping while strengthening their grip. A man wearing a cowboy outfit appeared on the ground after the blast was disappeared.

“This is your place of rest in peace!” Short chains sealed with venom aura were thrown at them, moving like snakes in the air. The sound of hissing was heard, perhaps to cause illusion to the targets, but they are sensible enough to destroy the chains using their melee weapons, but venom aura plowed inside their weapons and subsequently poisoned them. The venom was strong enough to paralyze their hand and leg muscles, but oddly other muscles are unaffected. Exa forced himself to move using skelove (skeleton move) spell while switching to a pair of shotguns, firing shots after shots towards him, yet he merely blocked them with a chain made shield. This strategy does not last long when Exa switched to a needle spray gun and the needles went through the holes between the chains and pierced through him. The hits from the needles distracted him that the venom suddenly flowed onto the ground and leeched into the soil. They quickly purify themselves using antidote spell.

“We are not as weak as you think!” Peta switched to a platinum handle pearl wand, charged it with sun aura and the pearl was slowly betting brighter. After a few seconds, she fired a focused sun beam on him, but it was blocked by a chain reinforced barrier. Apparently he learned his lesson of the gaps between the chains. His sight was sharp as ever, with a tint of determination in his mind. Zetta and Yotta switched to a stainless steel sword lance and titanium hammer repectively. Zetta charged his sword lance with steam aura. Streams of steam was seen surrounding the sword blade, but it was not as hot as it seems as they are still in aura form. Zetta threw it upwards and Yotta jumped towards it, knocking the sword lance downwards in an attempt to break his barrier.

“This is not the place for you to fight this way. Don’t ever regret that you have made your wrong move,” A chain suddenly was launched and “caught” the sword lance, throwing it back to Zetta instead. Thinking of him as an arrogant enemy, Exa and Peta jumped and kicked at the weapon, which launched the weapon back to him, but injured their feet in the process that they could not move for a while. Knowing it is useless to use the same trick again, he warped it to their back, only to be barely dodged and moved towards him again. Being bored, he merely strafed to his right while launching four chains on them. Knowing what happened on them yesterday, they switched to a evaporator emitter gun and fired plasma beams, melting the chains and subsequently the chain reinforcement on his barrier. He could feel the intense heat outside of the barrier, but the beams were too weak to destroy the barrier. Instead, he absorbed the heat and turned them into pyro aura.

“Watch out!” They stopped fired the plasma beams and dashed randomly while dodging the heat pillar bursts striking up from the ground. This gave enough distraction to him to charge himself with thunder aura, with streams of yellowish gold particles flowed around him. Zetta saw that and dashed towards him in a zigzagging way, yet just when he jumped and attempted for a stab, a double helix thunder spark struck him down onto the ground. The electrocution seemed to knocking Zetta out, but standing up and instant healing gave him a big surprise. In split second, the barrier was shattered, but the reflexes made him barely dodged the sword lance. He took out a pole shield with razor edges. His sights are getting sharper as his focus was increased. He was waiting for them for an attack.

“Ha, this isn’t your fight, Zetta. It is ours,” Peta and Yotta took out a pair of grenade launcher and fired grenades on him, yet the shield ensured that he did not suffer damage from the grenades. The atmosphere was intense as he dodge the grenades and near range attacks by Zetta and Exa. After a few minutes, when they attempted to kick him from behind, he jumped and swung his shield downwards. They strafed away from each other, yet the razors slashed through their feet, rendering them unable to move for a while. Thinking of a trick, Yotta charged her grenades with earth aura. The trajectory of her grenades were lowered a bit as a result, but he dismissed it as strong wind and kept blocking, only to be hit by the rock spikes striking up on the ground. Knowing being tricked, he moved continuously. Peta suddenly got the idea and charged her grenades with photons. This time, not even blocking can save him as the laser beams striking from the ground was not vertical, but aimed at him. After 10 minutes of attrition, he finally have his last breath.

“Let’s have some rest, shall we?” The energy spent on this battle was too much to allow them to continue rushing. Sweat was seen dripping on their chins, their clothing were wet and their muscles were strained to almost limit. They lied on the ground and drank a few bottles of dilute energy potion and muscle fixer. The sun was still high in the sky and the wind was still blowing on them strongly which isn’t enough to dispel the heat by the sunlight. At the meantime, somewhere away from them,

“Those people…I shall slay them into my demise,” A man wearing black scale armor with a trident was running in the plains. This is definitely not their last battle....
