First encounter with the enforcers

Last time we talked you found out about my colorful history as a mars inhabitant. Dad got killed and I entered my current life as the peddler. But some people considered what I was doing "illegal", ok by most people. The enforcers[1] were the only ones I mostly worried about and because my intentions of living this "illegal life" were for the good of people that needed certain things to survive and paid a good price, they had even more reason to kill me. But not to drag on explaining every single detail, I shall give you the hierarchy of every territory. The Big Boss of it all the emperor[2]. Then the enforcers and the least powerful, which are called alderman. This person doesn't even require a footnote; in earthling terms this person is a mayor. But now, back to the story, I was cruising at warp one to acquire replicators for a poor system who was in desperate need for food. The emperor had died at a young age of 200 so with his death came the compassion to the people. The enforcers took over, bearing to the fact that enforcers have a massive hunger and are extremely selfish, they were hogging the replicators, which in turn mean no food for the poor starving people. The place to get this was in the dragon's cave itself, the enforcer's home base. Its obvious I couldn't just fly in the enforcer's spaceport and say, " I have come for your replicators, move out of my way" so I decided I would have to sneak in. My ship was stealthy enough, so I decided to sneak into their base. That is until an enforcer ship came from behind me and started firing on me. I ran to the weapon's console as the ship shook again, the computer said " shields are disabled" I smiled and fired disruptor beams, but they were weak and before I knew it they disabled my weapons and engines. I decided it was best to get armed. I ran in the armory and put on my combat gear that I designed to look like a cool leather suit, put a trench coat over and armed myself with two M6d pistols and my wrist blades, hidden of course. Suddenly five enforcers transported on board, I smiled and said, " I don't remember letting you in" I started firing at them, when my bullets weren't penetrating their armor I put my hands up and said, " I suppose I must surrender" Two enforcers walked toward me with handcuffs, as they were going to put them on I hit my arms together, making my knives come out. I sliced them both in the throat, and then I grabbed a body and used it as protection against the bullets. All the bullets hit my enforcer shield so I threw him against the three other guards, catching them off their guard so they fell to the ground. I grabbed an enforcer pistol and fired at all three of them in the head, their face completely caved into their skulls, blood starting to cover the floor. Suddenly, as I was cleaning myself off a strange object beamed in front of me. I looked curiously and then realized what it was, I started running away as fast as I could, then the explosion came. It wasn't your conventional bomb it was a shockwave bomb. A wave of electricity went throughout the ship, all conduits bursting in flames by the power surge, and it was closing in on me. I dived to the ground hoping to dodge it, but this shockwave bomb was modified to hit the ground as well as the air, I went into convulsion as the electricity went through my body and then it passed on, but I was temporarily paralyzed. Two elite enforcers transported on the ship and stood over me, one of them laughed and said " time to take a nap" and kicked my head, rendering me unconscious.

I woke up in a jolt, there was a light blinding me so I couldn't see anything. But I could hear murmuring from guards, which instantly went quiet when the door opened and heavy footsteps could be heard walking toward me. Then a deep commanding voice began to speak " Hello peddler, what an unusual cargo you have, plasma bombs, a formidable armory we haven't had the chance to empty yet, and you just happen to be heading my way"

I responded, " well oh most sovereign enforcer, you know how us humans are. Such a lousy sense of direction" He punched me and walked out, leaving the two guards alone. They turned the light off and just sat there bored out of their minds; they had no idea what was coming. I saw my katana so with my binds already loose I tore them off and lunged for my katana. They tried to stop me but I grabbed my katana and swung it, the sharp titanium blade going right through their necks, for a second they just stood there, then their heads slid off and fell to the ground, blood gushing out of the hole like lava out of a volcano. I opened the door and there stood two guards, so I plunged my katana into his heart, and as the other guard reacted I elbowed him and kicked him to the ground, then I pulled my katana out and threw it in his head. I looked at the end of the corridor and I seen a soldier near coming toward me. Suddenly the alarms started blaring, so I ran toward him and decapitated him, then five more soldiers came, and started shooting at me. I rolled ahead toward them, dodging the bullets and swung my katana, cutting their feet away from their legs. They fell to the ground so I kicked them unconscious and took two guns and put them in my belt. I ran but then ten elite soldiers appeared, armed with scimitars and enforcer shotguns. They started firing at me, I jumped to the wall and kicked myself in the air, landing behind them I killed one of them but the others turned around with their scimitars and made a lung for me. I blocked their scimitars with my katana, and then I kicked two of them, propelling myself away from them and took out my two guns and started firing non-stop. Their armor was good, but I didn't give their armor a break and the unending gunfire was confusing them, and in less than a minute they were all dead. I cleaned my katana and then before I knew it, a gas quickly filled all the corridors. I tried to get away but the smoke was starting to get to my head, then as two guards appeared I threw my katana like a spear straight in one of their chests and then grabbed it and pulled it out and cut the other's head off, then I finally fell unconscious from the fumes.

A cold chill came over my body; I woke up in a jolt to find myself hung upside down. I was in a small circular room, so dark that I could barely depict my interrogators faces, but I recognized him. It was the 7-foot giant with my katana tucked in his belt, on the table against the far wall were my wrist blades and my whole armor. He smiled and said " decided to leave the shop have we? Didn't you daddy ever tell you to keep your nose out of people's business, it could be dangerous" he paused for a while then said in a proud voice " oh, he never got a chance because I killed him, that explains it"

I snarled at him and said, " As I recall, I killed you, if I were you I would have pretended to be dead and never would have had to face my retribution"

He laughed and then said, " Your threats are as threatening as a toy poodle's growling. Its true that you nearly killed me with that beautiful katana, and I must say that it did hurt. But by some miracle I survived, with my money my assistance got me best doctor and then to keep it secret I killed him" He took out a zapper from one of the pouches of his armor and zapped me on the head, I gritted my teeth in paint to stop my scream of pain, then he said " I know you're a smart human. And from what I've seen you're quite handy with a katana. So why are you here? Is it just your hobby to go meddling into people's business?"

I smirked and said, " well that is a whole lot of fun, I must admit. But my favorite hobby is escaping from overly arrogant interrogators" before he could reply I swung back hard and when I swung forward I grabbed my katana from his belt and cut the bindings that kept me suspended. I fell hard to the ground and he reacted quickly, he grabbed me and threw me against the wall. I quickly did a back flip and landed behind him, then I hit him with the hilt of my katana as hard as I could on his head and he fell to the ground, unconscious. Now I figured if I was on this ship I might as well take some weapons with armor and me. I got my armor on, and put my wrist blades in and tied the giant's arms and legs together and sneaked out of the room. Fortunately with his arrogance he didn't have much security, he hadn't even bothered to empty my armor, he was alone on the star base with me. I went to my ship and got my transporter tags and went to the armory, There was a large crate so I placed all the enforcer weapons in it and placed the tag on the crate, then I seen all the armor of the normal soldiers, but then I seen a titanium box with a lock on it. I took a enforcer pistol and shot it, it broke easily so I lifted the lid of the box and inside was emperor armor[3]so I put it on, at first it was too big but then it morphed and changed to the from of my body. I smiled and put the rest of the armor in another crate and placed a tag on that one. I then walked to the cargo bay and tagged all the replicators plus everything else they had and transported it into my cargo bay. I even raided the giant's ship, taking all the ship's weapons and its cargo. With more than I came, I planted a plasma bomb and flew away. Before it blew up I seen the giant's ship leave and then the whole base blew up. I delivered the replicators and they got their food, paying me with lots of intergalaxial credits that could be used everywhere and I became very wealthy and my reputation built up a great deal. The enforcers hated me even more, but that would just add to the excitement.

[1] The enforcers are very dangerous bounty hunters, a very dangerous and tyrannical version of what earthlings call police. Its like comparing a saber tooth tiger to a cute little kitty cat called Sylvester, his meow was so cute and his fur so smooth... but you get the picture.  They see something they hate, or something they need, or mostly people they consider dangerous and chase them until they die, or you die. And might I add their ships are slightly more powerful, but I can usually evade them.

[2] There is an emperor per section. They have power over everything in their territory, have nearly perfect spy networks that can catch anyone but me because I'm that good and they have the most powerful ships, like putting then of my ships together. Of course, my clever piloting and unusual strategies usually confuse them and I get away.

[3] Emperor armor was the best armor you can get. It appears large at first but once you put it on it changes to your exact form, becoming like a second skin. It doesn't impinge your reflexes and its almost as tough as a ship's hull. Plus it can change colors so you can be camouflage with your environment and it changes temperature so that if its too hot it cools you down and if its too cold it heats you up. Its awesome!
