Distant Hope

CHAPTER 2 - PENTAYA

The green and yellow outline of Pentaya hung in the blackness of space. The citizens of Pentaya went about their business.

Then a large fleet so vast it blocked out the sun swarmed around Pentaya. Their sleek grey metallic hulls hovered menacingly above the planet.

The citizens of Pentaya went about their daily routines of going to work and seeing loved ones. Yet their thoughts were soon no more as large, metallic ships dropped a series of long thin projectiles which buried themselves deep inside the planet.

Then came a series of violent explosions tearing the planet apart.

The ships left, their work of destruction complete
