Science fiction poem about a mythical hunter.

The hunter soon will waken
Will rise up in all his glory
And don his robes of power,
The hunter will search out prey
And before he has never failed,
The hunter was born to hunt and kill,
As his prey was born to be hunted and fed upon.

The hunter can never die
Can never be brought down by his intended prey.

For he is too swift, too smart
Supernatural? Perhaps? Or perhaps
Only outside our understanding,
The hunter has lived for aeons
And aeons more will he live,
And in his coming many prey will fall
For no mercy can be given.
