Pokerface by Lady Gaga is playing right when Roulette’s hench woman pushes two metal doors open. Both Kade and Storm stand behind her. Only Storm is excited. Flashing lights flood into towards them as they step into a whole different world. Everything is a different color. It is dark with the lights flashing every now and then while fog rises into the air. Everywhere there are people dancing, talking, drinking while on an upper balcony there are tables every so many feet that are filled with people gambling while a dancer is in the middle of the table. It is like nothing Storm has ever seen before. She gawks at everything. The setting can be described as intergalactic.
Everybody parts while continuing to dance to let them through. Storm looks around at interesting horny couples. Sometimes there’s more than one girl on a guy then she’ll look somewhere to see two men making out before finding a man and a woman making out getting a little too serious. They approach some doors. Storm finds two girls making out who briefly stop to watch her walk by. Her cheeks turn bright red but in the flashing of the lights they look green, then purple and then blue.
Roulette’s hench woman leads them upstairs to an area that sort of looks over everything inside the room. Like a throne of the Roman empire who views the games. People are dancing in front of where Roulette is sitting. She is not seen at all. There are lots of people hanging around her throne area obscuring the view of her. Gradually, one person slips away before the next making way for Roulette’s hench woman, Storm and Kade.
Russian Roulette is not the same without a gun
And baby when it's love if its not rough it isn't
After the last ‘fun’ Roulette finally comes into view. She is sitting back in a large chair smiling at a woman who hangs on the armrest. Instantly, Storm’s jaw drops at how beautiful Roulette is. Slowly, Roulette turns her focus on them. She stands up clapping her hands together and all the people who once crowded the area scurry away as she stalks forward. They all watch from a distance before she comes to a stop before Kade and Storm. Behind her comes Ryker out of the shadows. He looks at the ground and Kade shakes his head.
Tsk, tsk. I am ashamed of you, Kaden. You
have failed me yet again. My sexy baby is dead.
you brought along for the ride.
Um excuse me, my name is Storm.
Savannah Storm daughter of Tolen Storm. Believe
me I know. I know everything. How do you think
I always won at these silly little gambling games?
Um I don’t know.
You should keep this in mind: speak when spoken
too other wise keep your lame-ass mouth shut. You’re
way too innocent in my opinion.
Roulette sizes her up and pushes some of the hair out of her face.
What happened to your brain Kade?
Did that one darling steal it the other
I rather not discuss that.
Sorry I forgot. You’re too proper to have
a prostitute.
Adam attacked us. That is why the car is
like it in return. Please forgive Savannah.
I’m sick and tired of this!
It’s not my…
Kaden, we’re not meant for the south. We should
be back in Los Angeles, New York City, London,
The moon?
Sweetie, how out of the loop are you? I own every
single night club and gay bar that is on the moon.
People live on the moon?
Well they have for many years now. Almost a hundred.
I knew people were going to space all the time because of
my dad but I didn’t realize…
I’m not your teacher.
We’ll discuss this later, Savannah. Meet me outside
with Ryker.
I knew you were brilliant, Kaden.
Ryker come forward pushing Storm away even though she struggles a bit to watch Kade while he stands there staring at Roulette. Her lips move by the music drowns out her words. Soon they leave the place entirely.
Meanwhile, Kade stands there perfectly still trying to wash all emotion away from his face as he stands before Roulette. She is beautiful but there is something seductive about her that makes one feel nervous in her presence.
What is it that you want to speak to me about?
It’s getting too hot here.
You’re kidding.
Adam is a jackass idiot.
How long did it take you to figure that out?
Don’t you wish to return home?
Not that home.
Um explain?
To space. The universe. Gaia suffocates me.
Earth, most people still call it Earth.
Gaia is prettier.
The moon was exciting. Thrilling. But there are other
Cronus, Saturn. There’s so many oppurtunities. As long
as we don’t venture to places like Ariel, Umbriel, Titan,
Dionae, Rhea…or well, any other moon but Gaia’s. Also
there’s the other galaxies we have to worry about.
Well of course we’re not going there! I told you we
weren’t going home.
I can’t leave.
Well why?
I think I’m in love with that ‘stupid whore’ that I
brought along tonight.
Well that’s a stinkin’ plot twist in your life.
You don’t understand…
Love is love and it sucks. Sometimes literally.
I don’t want to know.
Bring this team with you. They’re the best.
Savannah didn’t even know about people living
everywhere else.
She had a strict mother.
How do you know?
I told you, I know everything.
Well I’m cooler.
If you insist.
You’re right. I am better.
Not about that. I might come with you if
everybody comes otherwise we remain here.
You steal cars for a living, Kaden. When I say
a living, I really mean it. You steal to have
money so you can buy food.
Speaking of.
Are you blind?
Some days.
I’m familiar with selective hearing but so much
selective sight.
Well Roulette, you should know. I’m special.
And that you are.
She throws cash at him. It slams to the ground and she starts to back away sliding her feet across the rough surface of the balcony. Kade picks it up while watching her closely. A smile spreads across Roulette’s face as she sits down on her throne.
Let me know.
Always do.
That’s why I love you little brother.
Don’t call me that.
Why not?
I’m not your brother by blood.
Do you think I care?
Adam brings it up.
We are one big family. Not one big
happy family though.
I figured.
I want you to leave. You’re dismissed. Go
Kade turns around. Another song is playing. The Logical Song by Scooter (originally done by Supertramp) blares over the loud speakers as he walks away strolling not to move to the beat of the music with all the people dancing around him along with the flashing lights.
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. And all the birds
in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily, joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, responsible,
practical. And they showed me a world where I could
be so dependable, clinical, intellectual, cynical.
