FADE IN:

1 EXT. DESTINY - ORBIT - PX3-973

A GIANT Ancient ship slowly moves in orbit. It's graceful in

its own way, with a smooth sweeping style. We hold on this

for a moment, then

CUT TO:

2.

2 EXT. PX3-973 - STARGATE - DAY

CLOSE on the STARGATE as it KAWOOSHES.

PULL OUT, TO SEE:

SG-12 standing there. SG-12 consists of COLONEL JOHN CROSS,

MAJOR KRIS MATHEWS, DR. JANET SMITH, DR. CAROL JACKSON, and

CAPTAIN KIRAN KARLA. They step down off the platform and

walk up to the greeting party, SG-15, LEUITENANT COLONEL

JEREMY FREDRICSON, MAJOR JENNIFER EMERSON, LIEUTENANT DAVID

COOPER, and LIEUTENANT CAROLINE WARNER. (This occurs under

the following dialog)

Text at the bottom of the screen:

PX3-973, 2022

CROSS

(all smiles)

Rollin' out the welcome, eh'

Fredrickson?

FREDRICSON

(smiling too)

Yep, we expect to be relieved.

JACKSON

(mock-seriousness)

Well, don't get your hopes up, our

shift doesn't start for another

29.9 minutes.

Everyone chuckles.

EMERSON

Speaking of that, I need to tell

SG-19 that you're here.

(at SG-12's curious looks.)

They went ahead with Dr. Hancock.

She taps her earpeice. (NOTE: Everyone uses Atlantis-style

radios)

EMERSON (CON'T)

Major Emerson to SG-19.

The voice we hear is that of MAJOR ERIC MOORE.

MOORE (O.C.)

Major Moore here. What's up, Jen?

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 3.

EMERSON

SG-12 is here, can you beam us up?

MOORE (O.C.)

Sure. Stand by.

A moment later SG-12 and Maj. Emerson are beamed away.

CUT TO:

4.

3 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

The bridge is vast, stretching the entire front of the ship,

it's basically a long strip of control panels, there's no

clear cut captain's chair, but there are several seats

arrayed near the bank of windows. All the surfaces(minus the

windows) are covered in a gray that is reminiscent of the

SGA Episode "Aurora". Out the windows you can see the planet

below. It's awe inspiring, it makes you want to be

completely silent. It is into this setting that SG-12 and

Maj. Emerson are beamed into. SG-12 scatters to look out the

windows. Kaitlyn walks over to join SG-19, and we get our

first look at the other team. There is, of course, MAJOR

ERIC MOORE, CAPTAIN ELIZABETH JOHNSON, CAPTAIN SHELBY

PORTER, and DR. SAM PARK. Beat.

THE CAMERA LEAVES THEM AND MOVES OVER TO THE NEAREST SG-12

MEMBER, CAROL:

Carol is looking out the window, proverbially mushing her

face against the glass.

JACKSON

(whispered)

Oh, I wish you could see this...

THE CAMERA MOVES FARTHER ALONG, COMING UP AT JANET:

Janet is about ten feet away from the window, taking it all

in.

SMITH

(under her breath)

Wow...

ANOTHER CAMERA MOVE, THIS TIME TO KRIS:

Kris has eased herself into one of the chairs and is staring

at the stars, her face expressionless.

CAMERA MOVE, JOHN:

John is staring out the window, lost in thought, and a

single tear slips out of his eye. He quickly wipes it away

before anyone notices.

CAMERA MOVE, KARLA:

Karla is staring out the window, lost, mumbling in her

native language.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 5.

KIRAN

Dera moro lefo, camo, nedios,

meltas betanos verdek...

CUT BACK TO:

SG-19 and Major Emerson.

EMERSON

(sotto)

Where's Doctor Hancock?

MOORE

(sotto)

She said she was going to check out

a system that had been acting up.

EMERSON

Well, why-

She is cut off as a voice comes over the radio

HANCOCK

(O.C.)

Major! The Hyperdrive just

initiated its pre-flight sequence!

MOORE

Well, shut it down!

HANCOCK

(O.C.)

You don't understand, IHe

is cut off as a whooshing sound is heard. There is dead

silence for a beat, then the sound of the hyperdrive coming

online is heard reverberating through the ship.

MOORE

Doctor?

(beat)

DOCTOR?!

WE CUT TO:

6.

4 EXT. SPACE - DESTINY

The ship turns, and engages hyperdrive.

CUT TO:

7.

5 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

The ship is in hyperspace. SG-12 gets up and hurries back to

SG-19 and Major Emerson. (NOTE: From now on, she will be

considered a member of SG-19)

CROSS

What happened?

PARK

We're in hyperspace.

CROSS

(irritated)

Yes, I know that, what I want to

know, is, why? We are not supposed

to take the ship into hyperspace,

and besides, from the reports I

read, we don't even know how to.

(beat)

Where's Dr. Hancock?

MOORE

He's...I don't know where he it.

CROSS

Well, call him.

MOORE

We can't. He's not responding. He

told us that the hyperdrive was

powering up, and then...he was cut

off.

CROSS

Where was he?

MOORE

In an access tube.

Carol gasps.

JACKSON

That-that means...

CROSS

(sotto, he's beginning to

understand)

What?

PORTER

Unless he got out, he's dead.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 8.

Silence as this news sinks in. A long beat. (Note: Kris is

looking out at the window)

MATHEWS

I may have never been in

hyperspace, but I don't think

that's

supposed to be happening.was killed inis in my fleet.isn't going onwill have to destroyis acting weird, but Iknow

Ancients. These people are

Kiran gets up and joins them.(She was sitting on the other

side of John)

KIRAN

(sotto)

She's right. All my life, I've

heard stories about the Ancients,

how we were almost their equals,

but they ignored us because we

weren't

we didn't like all their rules, but

they still treated us like we were

inferior. These people are not like

that.

CROSS

(sotto)

You're prejudiced, Karla. As for

you Carol, you of all people should

know that things and people can

change.

JACKSON

(sotto)

I know, I know, and you've known me

longer than anyone here, so you

know that I wouldn't say this if I

wasn't positive. There

wrong.

John sighs.

CROSS

Fine. We'll tell Tracious that we

need to go back to Destiny to

verify a few things about some of

the systems and make sure that

she's in a safe orbit.

Kiran and Carol nod. John and them turn around.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 29.

CROSS

Tracious, we need you to take us

back to Destiny, to check up on the

ship.

Tracious's smile fades, turning into a hard frown.

TRACIOUS

I'm afraid I can't do that.

The conference room fades to a slightly hazy white expanse.

Tracious grins, and fade away into an obviously Alien being,

wearing an unusual uniform.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

(con't, his voice is changed)

You see, you never left your ship.

Unfortunately, now we'll have to

work a little harder to find what

we want.

FADE OUT:

30.

15 INT. DESTINY - GROUP MIND - WHITE EXPANSE

The team members are on their knees, arranged in a circle,

facing outwards. There are more aliens, one for every two

members of each team. (Around fifteen people, SG-19 is here)

JACKSON

(angrily, through gritted

teeth)

We already told you everything we

know!

The other aliens are silent, and they stand about a foot

from each of their victims, and never actually touch them,

but because this is their minds, they don't have to.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

No, you didn't.

His two charges are Carol and John.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

What else?

CROSS

(bitterly)

You're the ones inside our minds,

you figure it out.

He winces as Carol winces and bites her tongue in pain.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

Sadly, we're not like that. We have

access to your minds, and your

pain receptors, but not you memory.

Your brain considers memory an

important function, so it has

higher safeguards.

(beat)

Did you know that I can stop a

heart then start it again?

(another beat)

Would you like to watch me?

He looks at Janet for a moment, and she crumples over.

JACKSON

NO!

She tries to get up, but is firmly planted in the ground.

After a beat, Janet takes a shaky breath, but stays on the

white floor.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 31.

JACKSON

(furious, boiling over)

We told you everything! I swear!

TRACIOUS

Then why is he hiding something?

He points a finger at John, who gazes with steely eyes

straight ahead.

JACKSON

(softly)

John?

CROSS

I've told them all I can.

He looks at her sadly. She looks worried. CLOSE on their

faces.

JACKSON

(still softly, to him only)

John? What haven't you told them?

You can get us out of here.

CROSS

(to her)

No, I can't. If they get what they

want, then we'll die.

Beat.

SMITH

(O.S., shaky)

Before the mission, we were

briefed..just me and him, the ship

is special...Ancienet's last legacy

to their children..abandoned..but

it's weapons still work, they said

to protect it, but a child

with..the legacy must use it, or it

will not work. Dr. Hancock reported

his findings on the subject..before

he died..

PULL OUT

while Janet's talking.

CROSS

(mournfully)

Janet..

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 32.

SMITH

I'm sorry..not quite military

quality..

The aliens get a glazed look in their eyes, then vanish.

Suddenly our teams are free to move, but they are still in

the white expanse.

CUT TO:

33.

16 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

The team members are in various positions passed out on the

floor. Aliens man the consoles. Out the window we can see

the planet we saw earlier, except the Ancient warships are

actually alien ships, and the planet has no cities on it.

The Tracious/Alien stands in front of the windows, hands

behind his back, a classic commander pose. Another alien

comes up behind him. Its the alien version of Trevan.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

Sir, we have control of the ship.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

Good.

Beat

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

Sir, what are we going to the with

the humans?

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

We shall keep the female with the

gene, and kill the rest.

Trevan looks a little unhappy.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

I had hoped that we might keep them

all alive.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

You're not getting attached to

these lower forms, are you?

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

(quickly)

No, no. I just think we could study

them. They were remarkably rapid in

discovering our deception.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

No. We were remarkably lax, after

all these years with lower life

forms, we've grown complacent. But

no more! We've spent so many years

searching for the one, and now we

have it within our grasp.

(this discussion is over)

Carry out my orders.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 34.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

Yes sir.

He gives a small bow and turns and walks away. Tracious

looks after him thoughtfully.

CUT TO:

35.

17 INT. DESTINY - GROUP MIND - WHITE EXPANSE

Our teams are up and walking about, Carol is sitting next to

Janet, who looks tired but is also sitting up. John is not

looking at Janet. Carol gets up and goes to John.

JACKSON

It's not her fault.

CROSS

Tell that to anyone who might die

by those weapons!

JACKSON

Oh quit it. Are you so arrogant and

stuck in your ways that you can't

even forgive her?

CROSS

She never should have been told!

JACKSON

She was the perfect person! It

couldn't have been me, or Kris, or

Kiran.

(beat)

And quit trying to change the

subject.

CROSS

(softly, quietly)

I could forgive her. And I do. But

you know as well as I that if I'm

nice, and let her think that its

okay to do this, she'll never ever

learn from it.

JACKSON

(attempting to remain calm)

She is not a child! You think

she'll ever forget the time when

she told the bad guys exactly what

they wanted to know?

CROSS

(quietly)

No.

Carol looks a little taken aback. She goes back to Janet.

John looks after her for a moment, then turns back to

staring into the white.

DIFFERENT ANGLE:

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 36.

All of a sudden Cervalias is standing next to them. The

military people move as to raise their weapons, but, of

course, they don't have any. Beat.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

(matter of fact)

You are all scheduled for execution

when we reach our destination,

except for the one with the Ancient

gene.

Everyone looks at Kris.

MATHEWS

Why is everyone looking at me?

MOORE

You're not going to die. That means

they want you. That means we have

leverage. That means we have a

chance.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

You will not have a chance. You

will all remain in this state until

the execution, at which point you

all will be removed and those who

are to be killed will be executed

by a wave pulse, and she will be

returned to this state until she is

needed.

MOORE

Why are you telling us this?

Trevan turns to him.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

I do not wish you allto be killed.

MOORE

Then help us.

CERVALIAS/ALIEN

I have already been here too long.

And just like he was there, he's gone.

PORTER

(dry)

Well, that was helpful.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 37.

MOORE

(thinking)

Quiet.

(beat)

Does anyone else hear that?

In the background there should be the sound like voices, but

very faint, so faint in fact, you shouldn't really be able

to hear it. Carol stands up.

JACKSON

Voices.

PORTER

It doesn't take a rocket scientist

to figure

JACKSON

I'm not a rocket scientist.

PORTER

Whatever.

MOORE

(trying to think)

Porter! Shut up.

Shelby quiets down, but glares at Carol, who returns the

glare. The voices gradually grow louder, but not so rapidly

as to notice it. Kris points off-screen.

MATHEWS

Look!

The camera pans around and we see, instead of the pure hazy

white that is everywhere else, a part of it has turned a

murky grayish color that fades into white. Every one turns

to look at it.

MOORE

(dawning on him)

We're waking up.

JOHNSON

Not like any time I've woken up.

JACKSON

Ah, but have you ever woken up from

an induced sleep?

JOHNSON

Yes.

Carol is taken aback, she didn't know this.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 38.

JACKSON

A telepathically induced sleep?

JOHNSON

How do you know its telepathically

induced? It's not like any other

telepathically induced sleep I've

heard about or been in.

Carol didn't know this either.

JACKSON

Well, I don't think we've ever come

across these particular aliens,

so......

JOHNSON

(reciting)

"We don't know anything about

them." I've heard that before.

JACKSON

What exactly do you not like about

scientists, Capitan?

JOHNSON

(practically sneering)

Nothing, Doctor.

MOORE

(he's getting mad)

Will everyone just shut up?!!!

Now Carol has two angry capitans glaring at her. She sighs

and turns her back on them, and sits back down next to

Janet, who is staring off into space, ignoring them.

FADE TO:

39.

18 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

CLOSE on Carol's face. Her eye twitches, but it goes

unnoticed.

CUT TO:

40.

19 INT. DESTINY - GROUP MIND - WHITE EXPANSE

The white expanse is no longer white, but completely gray

colored.(It could be a picture of the ceiling of Destiny

that has been edited to look murky/swirled.) Carol is the

only one standing in it now. She turns around, the rest of

the team is gone, and we get the feeling that they just

left, by the surprise that Carol has. Beat. All of a sudden

the gray clears, and sharpens, showing the ceiling of

Destiny. In a smooth camera move, we go from seeing the

ceiling, to zooming out, then turning around and looking

down at Carol as her eyes flicker open.

41.

20 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

CLOSE on Carol's face. Her eyes are slited so she can see,

but the aliens can't tell she's awake. We hear O.S. voices.

VOICE

(O.S.)

We're ready to jump, sir.

TRACIOUS/ALIEN

(O.S.)

Then go!

VOICE

(O.S.)

Yes sir.

We hear the sound of the hyperdrive powering up. (From scene

3)

CUT TO:

42.

21 INT. CAROL'S POV - DESTINY

We see (through half closed eyes)the ship jumping to hyper

space, and we see that all the aliens have their back to

her.

CUT TO:

43.

22 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

In an instant, Carol has sprung up, and attacked the Aliens

closest to her. We see that the others are awake, and have

picked their own fights, but they are outnumbered 10(us) to

16(them). (Janet is still on the floor.) Park holds his own

for a little while, but is shot. Porter and Jackson hold

their own for a little longer than Park, but they go out

too. The scales seem to tip in the aliens favor, but then,

Cross manages to disarm one, and shoots him. The gun emits a

(shock)wave that hits the Alien and knocks him down.(looking

dead)He then turns the gun on other Aliens, until the rest

of the good guys manage to get their counterpart's guns, and

aim them at the Aliens,(there are about 9 Aliens still

standing, the rest are on the ground.)Among the aliens

standing is Tracious. Cervalias is nowhere to be found.

Tracious looks mad. Janet has managed to scramble up and

holds a weapon on the Aliens too. All of a sudden, on the

view screen, the ship enters the tear, and drops out of

hyperspace. Everyone turns to look out the window at the

assortment of Ancient ships, all of them Destiny class.

CUT TO:

44.

23 EXT. SPACE - DESTINYS

There are over a dozen different Destinys arrayed, plus

several unidentifiable ships. Our Destiny slowly maneuvers

into them, and is lost amongst the look alikes.

CUT TO:

45.

24 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

While our team stares awe struck out the window, the aliens

all surreptitiously pull things out of their pockets and

press them. Our team turns back at the sound, but they are

too late to stop them from beaming out, along with the

unconscious Aliens. Our team is left with their weapons.

They look around in shock. Then, as if all of them are

controlled by a single mind, Janet and Karla rush over to

Park, Porter and Johnson, while Carol and Jennifer rush

over to the consoles. John, Eric and Kris gather around the

consoles.

EMERSON

There's got to be over a dozen

ships out there!

Carol slams her hand against the console, mad.

JACKSON

They put a password on the computer

and hyperdrive!

CROSS

Can you go around it?

JACKSON

Yeah, probably, but it'll take a

while.

MOORE

Colonel!

Everyone turns to look where he is pointing, out the window,

where we can see a Destiny that is bristling with weapons,

and they look to be powering up.

CROSS

(grimly, to Carol)

Take all the time you need.

Suddenly the ship rocks as we are hit, throwing everyone but

Carol and Kaitlyn to the ground(they were holding on to the

console).

CUT TO:

46.

25 EXT. SPACE - DESTINYS

Slowly but surely, all the Destinys begin to fire upon our

Destiny, which is taking a beating, even though it's shield

is holding, it looks to fail soon.

CUT TO:

47.

26 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

The wounded are sill on the ground with Janet and Kiran next

to them, the others are at he console, hanging on for dear

life as the ship rocks violently. Near the door, something

sparks, and a panel on the console next to the one our group

is at sprays sparks and shorts out. Carol flinches away from

it, but keeps her eyes glued to the screen and her hands

firmly working to get around the block.

CROSS

Carol!

JACKSON

Sorry, I'm busy right now, please

call back later!

CROSS

Carol! This isn't the time!

JACKSON

I'm working on it!

Ship shakes again. More sparks.

MATHEWS

Jackson!

EMERSON

Shields are at 15%! We now have

over half the ships firing on us,

and the others are joining in.

JACKSON

Almost there!

From now on, the ship shakes constantly. Sparks fly from

several places, and the people at the console have to duck

to avoid them.

EMERSON

Shields at 7%!

JACKSON

We have impulse!

CROSS

Get us outta here!

CUT TO:

48.

27 EXT. SPACE - DESTINYS

Our ship is getting pummeled. All the other ships but one or

two are firing on it. Our ship's shields flicker. All of a

sudden, our Destiny's impulse engines start up, and take her

away from the fight. The other ships begin to follow.

CUT TO:

49.

28 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

Same as before.

EMERSON

Its not helping! Shields are down

to 2%!

JACKSON

In a minute I'll have hyperdrive!

CROSS

In a minute?! We don't have a

minute!

MATHEWS

(same time as John)

We don't have a minute!

Carol takes a moment to look up and glares at them. Beat as

the ship rocks and sparks.

EMERSON

That's it, we have no shields!

CUT TO:

50.

29 EXT. SPACE - DESTINYS

Our ship is leading the others in a race, but they are still

firing on our Destiny. Her shields fritz and go out, leaving

her unprotected. Shots start to hit her, and they cause

large explosions.

CUT TO:

51.

30 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

Same as before, but the ship rocks a lot harder.

EMERSON

Hull breach!

(beat, reading the console,

almost unbelieving)

We have emergency shields on in

that area!

CROSS

There's on bit of decent news.

Carol?!

Beat.

JACKSON

There! We have hyperdrive! Go!

Jennifer brings her hand down on the control. On the window

we see the window open.

CUT TO:

52.

31 EXT. SPACE - DESTINYS

Our ship turns tail and quickly jumps into hyperspace. The

other ships slowly stop firing.

FADE TO:

53.

32 INT. DESTINY - BRIDGE

Out the window we can see normal space. The shaking has

stopped, and only one or two things continue to spark

weakly. Everyone is where they were before. Everyone looks

tired and relieved.

CROSS

(slightly shaky)

Where are we?

Carol checks the console. She smiles slightly in relief

JACKSON

In the middle of nowhere. There's a

large debris field several hundred

million kilometers out, but that's

it.

Janet walks up, looking concerned.

SMITH

Does this ship have an infirmary?

EMERSON

Well, the scientists never looked

for one, but I guess there must be

one somewhere.

SMITH

Well, they need to pay it a little

visit. I don't even know what's

wrong with them, they could be

going haywire upstairs, and I

wouldn't even know.

JACKSON

We could ask the computer.

Everyone looks at her. She inputs something on the console

in front of her. Beat, the she inputs something else. Under

this, John mouths the words "What?" to Jennifer, but she

shrugs and shakes her head. Everyone turns to look as a

schematic of the ship comes up on the window/screen. Carol

walks up to it and actually touches it. It zooms in on them,

it shows the bridge and the ten life signs, three of which

are slightly dimmed. She touches it again in the corner, and

it zooms out a little bit. She presses it again and it zooms

out more. She presses the bridge and and quickly presses

another room. The schematic rotates and shows it on a 3-d

scale, with a highlighted path leading from the bridge to

the other room. Janet smiles and takes a step back.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 54.

JACKSON

That's how you get to the

infirmary.

Everyone stares at her.

JACKSON

What? Its all very similar to the

newer systems in Atlantis.

(she points at the screen)

You head down this hall, turn, get

in the transporter, get out, head

down another hallway, and there it

is.

(addressing her team)

Don't you guys remember

nice.exactly like them. True,is somethingthat out.anything

from the introduction?

Its apparent from their blank gazes that they do not. Janet

breaks the uncomfortable silence.

SMITH

All right, I'll need you two to

carry Park,

(she points at John and

Jennifer)

you two will carry Porter,

(she points at Carol and

Kiran)

and you and you will carry Johnson.

(she points at Eric and Kris)

All the people assigned nod and move to their respective

charges.

FADE TO:

55.

33 INT. DESTINY - INFIRMARY

The infirmary looks very similar to the Atlantis Infirmary,

but the colors are all sliver, and everything looks smooth.

It's also a bit larger, and is two large rooms connected by

a doorway. It looks just like a full, working infirmary, as

if the workers just up and left, most things are in their

proper place, with only a few things thrown around.

Elizabeth, Shelby, and Sam are all laying on beds with

Ancient looking things(small discs) attached to their heads.

Think brain wave monitors. Janet is looking at a screen that

is hooked up to the things attached to their heads. Carol is

looking curiously over her shoulder, but from the look her

face, she is totally confused. John is moving around at the

room(s), attempting to clean it up. (Eric, Kris, and

Jennifer are nowhere to be seen.)

SMITH

Colonel.

He stops his pacing and goes over to her.

SMITH

Well, I can say for certain that

they won't die. I pretty sure, at

least. I don't think the weapon was

designed with us in mind. It seems

to have been created to kill a much

more mentally sensitive race. We,

however, have a comparatively tough

mind, and all it seems to have done

is incapacitate them. They should

wake from their comma in anywhere

from six hours to two days.

John gives a sigh of relief. He taps his radio.

CROSS

Cross to Moore.

MOORE (O.C.)

Moore here.

CROSS

Your team will make it. The doctor

says they should come out of it in

around a day or so.

MOORE (O.C.)

(he sighs)

Thank you, sir. I was just about to

call you, though. We're at the

breach.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 56.

(con't)

CUT TO:

57.

34 INT. DESTINY - CORRIDOR/BREACH

Its a long hallway, with an entire side open to space. There

is a force field shaped just like the corridor that is gone,

the edges blasted away. But the shock is, as we watch, the

ship itself is rebuilding. (Those of us who have seen a

Replicator fix itself will recognize this.)

MOORE

(con't)

And sir, its rebuilding.

FADE OUT:

58.

35 INT. DESTINY - INFIRMARY

As before.

CROSS

It's what?!

MOORE (O.C.)

It's rebuilding itself. It looks

like its growing and sealing itself

back up.

John looks a little pale.

CROSS

(urgently)

Get away from there, head back here

now!

CUT TO:

36 INT. DESTINY - CORRIDOR/BREACH

MOORE

Sir?

CROSS (O.S.)

Replicators, Major.

Eric's eyes widen and he turns and runs back down the

corridor, and enters a transporter. Kris and Jennifer have

heard everything and followed him.

CUT TO:

60.

37 INT. DESTINY - INFIRMARY

Everyone is gathered around a computer. John is in

mid-explanation.

CROSS

...Which means that this ship must

have been built before they figured

out how dangerous they were.

JACKSON

Despite

think the Ancients would install

Replicator tech with out some

assurance that they wouldn't do

something to jeopardize the

Ancients themselves. Probably a

complete re-programing, to ensure

that all they did was create new

material.

They've been at this for a while.

JACKSON

If you don't believe me, then ask

the computer. They probably have it

in there.

She crosses her arms and gives him the typical 'I dare you'

look.

CROSS

Fine, you find out.

JACKSON

Fine.

She sits down and begins to type. Beat as she she types.

JACKSON

Ah-ha! See, the nanites are to

create building materials and

install them.

On the screen there is a nanite displayed, and then we see

several others around it, all busily helping to build a

small sphere. They finish, and the sphere moves off to join

what we can clearly see as a molecule. We slowly move in so

the screen of the computer fills the frame as we watch the

above.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 61.

JACKSON

(O.S.)

See? Once they finish building,

they become inert, and power down.

The entire hull is littered with

them.

The computer shows nanites powering down as they complete

their job, then (on the computer screen) we zoom out, and

see the hull of the ship, covered in them. We then zoom out,

and see all seven of the awake teams members looking over

Carol's shoulder.

CROSS

(sighing)

Okay. I concede your point. Maybe

its safe to have them working on

the hull.

CUT TO:

62.

38 EXT. SPACE - DESTINY - CORRIDOR/BREACH

The corridor-long-hole is slowly closing, and as we watch,

it seals completely.

MONTAGE:

CUT TO:

63.

39 INT. DESTINY - SLEEPER ROOM

Its a HUGE room, so long you can't really see the end, and

the sides are lined with the sleeper pod seen in the SGA

episode 'Aroura'. Eric and Jennifer are here near the

entrance and they look around in awe. They shine their

lights around.

CUT TO:

64.

40 INT. DESTINY - HOLOGRAPHIC INTERFACE ROOM

Its a large room, just like the Atlantis version, except for

the fact that everything is the same gray. The lights are

off here too. Kris and Kiran walk in and shine their flash

lights around. As Kris steps closer to the pedestal, the

rooms lights come on, and the hologram appears(not the same

one from Atlantis)

HOLOGRAM

Please state your request.

Kris turns and grins at Kiran.

CUT TO:

65.

41 INT. DESTINY - ENGINE ROOM

It is also a large room, with a window at the end, and

through it we can see the hyperdrive plus jump drive. Carol

and John walk in. Carol looks around excitedly.

FADE TO:

END MONTAGE:

66.

42 INT. DESTINY - CONFERENCE ROOM

It's a medium sized room, with a large circular table and

chairs around it. Everyone (minus Janet and the two

patients) is there. We come in on them in mid explanation.

JOHNSON

The hologram also explained that

the ship was designed to carry the

population of a planet to a safer

home. He said that the ship was

designed to scout planets in

different universes and timelines,

record that data, and then, when it

reached a planet that had the

correct parameters, it would wake

the population up from stasis and

help them colonize it.

EMERSON

But the room we saw, big as it was,

would not hold the entire

population of a

several cities, but not a planet.

JOHNSON

Well, Destiny was supposed to be

the first ship in its class, but

the idea was abandoned as the war

with the Wraith exploded and the

ship proved unreliable and

extremely difficult to control.

CROSS

So we're stuck on an out of control

ship that moves through alternate

timelines?

JACKSON

And universes.

JOHNSON

Right.

CROSS

So, how do we get back home?

Long beat.

JOHNSON

Well, sir, this ship was built for

people fleeing a dying

world....they didn't want to go

back...

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 67.

KIRAN

It was build to be a one way trip.

JOHNSON

It doesn't have reverse.

Dramatic music builds as we realize we have no way home.

FADE TO:

68.

43 EXT. SPACE - DESTINY

The ship is moving on impulse towards a distant planet.

CUT TO:

69.

44 INT. DESTINY - MESS HALL

A large room with several tables and chairs around them.

There is a large bank of windows on one side, and the other

side has several consoles and several of what looks like

what Sam engineered in the SG-1 Episode 'Unending'. Jennifer

is sitting at a table near the window, looking unhappily at

the bowl in front of her, full of a yellow looking mush.

Eric enters, goes over to the consoles, and gets a cup of

water. He walks over to Jennifer and sits down a the table

with her.

MOORE

I'm glad they figured out how to

use that thing, cause I was

starting to wonder if we were going

to have to go without any food.

He grins. She doesn't move or say anything.

MOORE

What's that?

EMERSON

Mac and cheese.

MOORE

(good-natured,)

You like that?

EMERSON

Not

is...yellow goop. And all the other

normal food I've tried to get turns

out the same way. The only two

things it can get right are water,

and Ancient food. I

food.

Eric frowns.

MOORE

It can't be that bad.

EMERSON

You try it.

She slides the bowl over to him and he takes the spoon and

tastes it. He makes a face and pushes it back.

MOORE

Okay..maybe it is that bad..

Jennifer half smiles.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 70.

CUT TO:

71.

45 INT. DESTINY - JOHN'S QUARTERS

A good sized room with a bed, chair, desk, and console on

it, and a closed door that (presumably) leads to the bath

room. John is standing in the middle of the room, looking

around. The door chimes (the door and opener look just like

the Atlantis ones) and he goes over and opens it. Carol is

on the other side. She smiles.

JACKSON

How're you settling in?

He moves out of the way and walks back into the room. She

follows him in.

CROSS

I'm not sure how to.

JACKSON

Well, I went down to the engine

room and got the computer to make a

few reminders of home, and got some

new clothes.

John smiles.

CROSS

I

clothes.

They both smile.

JACKSON

Anyway, I actually stopped by to

give you your report. Janet says

her patients are doing fine, but

she's still getting used to all the

different tech, and I'm working on

figuring out the engines.

CROSS

I'm still having a hard time

believing that we'll never get back

home.

JACKSON

Well, you never know, we might find

something the ancients missed. But,

in the meantime, I recommend

visiting the hologram room to find

out things for yourself.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 72.

CROSS

I thought that took up a lot of

power.

JACKSON

Well, normally it would, but the

power requirements of the entire

vessel are so large, that it

becomes rather small.

CROSS

Speaking of that, what exactly

powers this ship?

JACKSON

(frowning)

Well, I'm not

think it may be a Z.P.M., or

something like that. All I know is

that is is completely full, and

buried somewhere deep in the

computer core, impossible to get

to.

CROSS

Now why the heck would they hide it

down there?

JACKSON

Beats me.

CROSS

Is there anyway to get it out? To

replace it?

JACKSON

From what I've seen, we shouldn't

need to replace it.

CROSS

Hm. What about the, uh,

'replicators'?

JACKSON

Actually, they're more like

'rearrangers'. They take base

molecules from other things and

rearranges them into what every you

ask for. Unfortunately, they can't

really make good earth food. Also,

the base materials must be

replenished.

(CONTINUED):

CONTINUED: 73.

CROSS

Wait, if this ship was meant to go

for a long time without human help,

why didn't it run out?

JACKSON

Well, the people were in stasis, so

they didn't really need anything,

so it had a much easier load. But

we'll have to stop planet side

every so ofter so we can restock.

Here's the full report.

She hands him a small chip, that looks like a USB flash

drive. He grins and shakes his head.

CROSS

We've been here a total of eight

hours, and you've already figured

out the computer systems?

JACKSON

(also grinning)

Ah, you know me, I can't resist a

challenge. Just plug it in, and

it'll pop up.

He nods and tosses it on the desk, where it lands with a

clatter. Carol winces.

JACKSON

Also, its a bit sensitive, so..

CROSS

Oops.

JACKSON

Well, I want to spend some more

time looking at the engines before

I try to sleep.

CROSS

And I have to make sure that every

one is getting settled in.

JACKSON & CROSS

(at the same time)

Have fun.

They both smile.

CUT TO:

74.

46 INT. DESTINY - INFIRMARY

Janet is moving a tower that has what looks like a scanner

on it over to the bed where her patients are. John walks in.

CROSS

Hows it going? Carol told me you

were having fun with all the

different stuff.

SMITH

(having got the tower in

position, she goes over to the

screen that it's hooked up

to.)

Then Carol is a liar.

(beat)

It's like having to learn how to

use everything all over again.

CROSS

I'll bet.

He walks over to the beds.

CROSS

So, they still the same?

SMITH

Unchanged.

CROSS

They'll have a lot to wake up to.

SMITH

(shaking her head)

You're telling me.

CUT TO:

75.

47 INT. DESTINY - CORRIDOR(NOT BREACH)

walks by. Stay with the shadows. After a beat, the shadows

move, and Trevan comes out looking angry.
